I know Gus has struggled, sometimes rather mightily in this series but he's got wheels and they need to somehow adjust to the Devils' forecheck. I'm just saying if they are living and dying by Carle they might as well also do that with their other skating defensemen.

The Flyers were outshot 7-0 with Grossmann on the ice, 6-1 with Coburn on the ice, and 4-4 with Carle on the ice. #JustSayin

The reason why because there is no support from the forwards at all.

Watch NJ.

Look at the support the forwards give the defense.

Unfortunately, Lavi is not big on adjustments.

What's the count on turnovers or bonehead plays in the D zone?

Gus is not as good as Carle right now.

Grossmann has looked very suspect in this series. He should be physically manhandling guys but he is playing a finesse game.

Devils have 16 SOG with 6 Flyer blocked shots. Flyers have 7 SOG with 1 Devil blocked shot. Sooo, is Lavi going to adjust?

The most defensively inept Flyers team of all time. It's just embarrassing watching this team try and compete at this level. They are ****ing clueless in their own end. The Flyers play against the boards tonight is so pathetic and maddening, I think it'll end up causing me a stroke. Men against boys...

Normally a team gives up a two goal lead over the course of a game...I guess the Flyers just aren't one of those "normal" teams.

Anyways, 40 mintues left to play! You know what that means? Time to bring out the famous Tortorella speech from HBO:

Quote:
I asked you to ****ing defend, Iíve seen you ****ing defend before, and youíre going to do it here. If thatís how weíre going to battle, weíre not going to have a chance to win. Jesus Christ how much times do we have to talk about it? If thatís all the juice we have as far as competing against that team, we will get killed tonight. We have two periods here, so Iíve asked you all to buy into how we have to play, if thatís it weíre ****ing done, pack it up! And I know that this ****ing team isnít that way! Iíve seen ya...so letís...we have 40 ****ing minutes to go! Take each shift at a time and chip away! THEY ARE NOT THAT GOOD IN THEIR ENDZONE!!! And we know our club! Thatís the biggest ****ing positive of our team is how hard we play! So ****ing screw it on straight here!! Screw it on and letís be ready to go each shift at a time, Ok? So Stiffin up here!! Everybody, help one another, but Iíll tell ya if youíre not going to be stiff youíre not going to play, Iím warning you all. This is a contest here thatís a good test for us, where we are right now. Quarter of the seasons done, letís see what we are against a stiff hockey team, letís be ready to go here now! Come on!!
Feels weird posting that
But whatever! Desperate times call for desperate measures

Carle and JVR might as well just shot the puck in the net, just ****ing pathetic.

I have hated Jagr all playoffs, but good ****ing god, I would take any of the scratches over him. He brings zero positives, turnovers in off end, cant get out to cover the point man in def zone, he is **** and I would take any scratched palyer over him and promote a 4th liner.

Bryz and Roo were great, everyone else sucked **** in this huge game, so sad

Starting?

Lets go through a few things here.

Carle, Jagr and Lilja getting absurd amounts of icetime.

Hideous line changes at wrong times. I can't count how many times the devils have had break-aways on a ill-timed line change from the flyers.

Hideous line combinations. Seriously, Jagr and Briere. Why not put a guy with a white flag out there too. Lilja-Gus, Lilja-Carle.

What else shall we pick up on. How about the flyers trying to exit the zone. I don't think I've ever seen a team this bad at getting out of their own zone since we had stevens in charge. What the hell is going on. We are afraid to take hits in the corners, we constantly look to the half boards to clear the puck and we get caught almost every minute.

NJ got onto that fact after game 1. They have punished us in the corners ever since. We could also talk about the offensive play, how many times are we going to put the puck on fatty's stick. How about chasing the puck after we dump in. Or tell you what, how about we cross the lines with the puck on our stick.

It's been a disgusting show on both the players and the coaches so far. We lose this game, we lose the series. It's not complicated.

Hell, even the refs are trying to keep us in the game.

Those guys are your typical hfboard stat freaks. They have no idea when it actually comes to the games.

Carle could give up 3 turnovers that result in goals, but the flyers could outshoot the opponent while he was on the ice. Guess which stat they will bring up.
