Yep, is also not registered yet and as we still hope for Josi Simpson won't register any more players until the game vs. Canada.

it's basically the battle of the whites !!
bielorussia vs bielikrest
white russia vs white cross

That's gona be a tough one.
A lot of pressure ... on both sides.

I close my eyes and see tonight at 10.30 PM in Helsinky ... happy people with white crosses on their shirts, some have red faces ... and a 4-1 displayed on a big box in the middle of a big public room with many seats around an ice ground.

always a good and intense fight when we play the belorussian's, as its basically always a decider of which one of us moves on to the quarter finals.

i'd say 2:1 for the swiss tonight, eventough Andrei Mezin will once again stand on his head.

That will bizarre perfomance from Mezin, especially because he will be sitting on the bench.

no way? he's my favourite belorussian for quite some time now, always had pretty good performances against the swiss.

No kidding, the only place he could be useful right now is the glue factory.

Although SUI is more stable, but I view both of them as equally strong.

This should be really interesting. Belarus defended the center of their own zone exceptionally well against Finland, I wonder if they'll play a very defensive game against Switzerland too. A bit disappointing that Koval isn't playing tonight but Mezin should be good too.

no doubt that belarus will play defense-oriented game it's just the style that gives us any hopes for the win. we don't have many offensive go-to players, so it's all about discipline, going hard for every puck, preventing mistakes and success of the special units will also be essential
and why you think that koval isn't playing? i think he is
i didn't see any information of mezin starting tonight all day long

Berra has been great both in the training matches and yesterday. But it seems the Swiss have good depth when it comes to keepers so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Ah that's great. I swear the roster info on the first post had Mezin as starter so I thought it was official. But now that I checked it again, it's indeed Koval. Either the mods made a stealth change, or my eyes deceived me...

Well history has shown that Belarus have achieved some big sucesses with that style. They actually have the discipline that the Russian team often lacks.

Looked a bit cheap under the pad, but nice deflection.

Shots 8-0, says everything.

Really difficult to say if Brunner was on the puck. Koval didn't look too good, also.
