It's going to be very close. The loser of this match won't make the play-off round most likely, so this game is crucial for both of the teams. Expecting a rough, physical game with lots of penalties.

Germany is like Switzerland. You don't screw around with them.

I can see this being a low-scoring grind of a game.

I agree, I could see a 2-1 win for either team.

One of the teams win in OT/SO, but hard to guess which one it will be.

According to a Sport1-article (sorry, only in German) Akdag an Pietta will play tonight and Rankel and Schütz will pause.

I'm not sure, what to think about it...

Akdag is desperately needed to add some solid defensive depth. Reul and Lavallee will screw up big time with that amount of TOI against a team like latvia.

Ah, and if any other goalie than Endras is playing, we will lose.

We'll need Endras to steal this game for us. C'mon Germany.

Evan Kaufmann's grandparents survived the concentration camp if I remember correctly.

I don't know, whether I should celebrate or fear, because yesterday Indrašis scored the first goal and it didn't end that good for us.

edit: BTW: Germany has a tradition of pretty good jewish hockey players before WWII. Maybe most mentionable is Rudi Ball @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudi_Ball

How wasn't that a goal?? What on earth happened, seemed like Endras had his stick down to prevent it but I didn't really get a proper look.

Nah, the puck just got stuck in the Latvian player's legs. Wow.
