Lieweke will be the key. He said that there were things they were looking into to get them in if we advanced to the finals. Flooding his offices will be key.
Yeah and that's the postgame show.
Leiweke can't do anything at this point, its all NBC. NBC holds the rights to broadcast these games.

Surely something can be negotiated to get them involved.

It would be nice to get a pregame/post game show, but being that the Kings contract is with FSW, the post game show is all we might get. Actually, I'm really surprised they're doing a postgame show at all.
Leiweke looked so excited when he was giving the Kings high fives in the hallway. I know he gets a lot of hate, but it was nice to see him so happy over the win. That makes you think that he will do anything he can to help them out now.
I don't care who we play in the next round it's gonna be the hardest team we face. Party now kings but realize how hard the WCF are going to be Ill say this it ain't gonna be. A sweep.

When are people going to learn to stop making predictions? I wouldn't be suprised by anything at this point.

Unfortunately, I don't see it happening. I'd like to see Bob and Jim call the games...but the NHL is a business.
To make it crystal clear, the new TV contract with NBC that was negotiated recently provided NBC exclusive rights to all games from the second round and on. The first round isn't exclusive.
It's the same situation with FSW/KCAL9 and the Lakers. They get the first round coverage along with TNT/ESPN and after that they don't have the rights to the games...which they only do "Lakers Live" for the postgame report.
All we can do is appreciate the fact we do have Bob and Jim's reactions after the games. It's better than nothing, but again the NHL is a business and NBC shelled out a lot of money for those exclusive TV rights. So emailing FSW will be a waste of time, they don't have anything to do with it and nor can they do anything about it.
Congrats to the Kings. Hopefully you won't have to travel to Tennessee for any games this month. Hopefully together the Yotes and Kings can have a fun WCF! I know road games would be easier to drive to...

State of shock would be the way to describe my feelings at the moment.
When Drew is playing Norris Trophy caliber hockey this team is at it's best, obviously. I don't know how much longer this is going to go, and I know what would make me happiest, but I'm very satisfied right now and know that this team is good enough to get it done. The window to win has opened.

So they are outlawed from assisting with the Kings' radio broadcast? There has to be some way to allow them to participate. They can't be banned from all of hockey media.
The ideal situation would be for the Kings to post all the highlights on their website with live commentary (as in they record a whole game track, edit it to highlights later) from Bob and Jim. I don't know if that's possible but it would be nice.
