I have nothing but respect for what Salvador has done. Sits out an entire year, comes back at age 36 and has a solid, workman-like season when at times the rest of our defense looked lost. Plus, he's actually played in every single game so far this year.

Not to mention him going HAM in the playoffs and exploding for 5 points through 11 games when he had 9 all year

Perhaps he did. I believe you, but the Zidlicky penalty which resulted in a goal, and without a doubt the Zajac interference were borderline too. The Zajac one was just totally ridiculous. Not to mention all the screws we got last game. Game 3 it looked like the refs were paid off.

I'll excuse Giroux's head shot though if they excuse Marty's puck play out of the trapezoid. You know Shanahan will too!

I would love him back. I prefer him to Tallinder. Though I wasn't ultra impressed with him until this year. He's been our best D man this year even if you forget what happened to him last year. I don't pay attention to plus/minus on forwards, but defensemen I like to see a big plus, and he was a plus 16 I think? Definitely a plus something here in these playoffs.

He's also stopped A LOT of goals this year. Maybe 5-10 goals by himself for both Marty, and Moose.

Look, it's not like Pens fans get, or should get sympathy from Devils fans (we are after all in the same division), but after allll the piling on the last few weeks, it is soooo sweet watching what you're doing to them.

Sal should be back, playoff monster.

I try not to say things like this, but Claude Giroux is perhaps the whiniest child I've ever seen. What a wimpy baby.

Feelin good man.

I just turned it on. He's still on. What was he saying?

I feel bad for the poor guy. We were doing good when he was here, but he was on the ice for many goals against. Wasn't a great defensive player. I loved when we called him out, and he scored 2 goals for us that day against the Flyers!

Seems like a good dude. He broke his femur wasn't it? That's a brutal injury.

I actually like Pens fans. I feel bad hating on Crosby, and the Malkinator sometimes!

Pens fans are a lot more respectful to the Devils than the Rangers, or Flyers fans. You guys are okay!

Larsson and Volch only played like 11-12 minutes each.

@MichelleKenneth giroux just said he's not a dirty player and that Simmonds also got hit in the head by a Devil (missed who he said did it)

Larsson had 3 shifts in the third. See here: http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...2/TH030224.HTM

On another note.. I totally forgot about Tallinder. With how well our defense has been for the last part of the season and in the playoffs now it would be difficult to decide how to fit him back in. When was the last time we even had a health update on Tallinder?

I want Salvador back
next year. Ship Tallinder out. Hell, ship Volchenkov out and let's see what Urbom can do. We know we have a capable #6/7 guy in Harrold and LOADS of possible call-ups, let's see what they can do. Salvador has most definitely earned more play time.

I believe Sykora has too, and I have no problem with Boults and Cam being here next season either. Having that muscle around is useful, albeit situational, and having good glue guys is important over the marathon regular season.

Did Clarkson get demoted to the 4th line? And I don't know what to think about Volchenkov getting 12 minutes.

Didn't he go back to Sweden or something? I was under the impression he wouldn't be returning this season.

I just despised the fact that those ****ers kept smelling like roses no matter what they did. Hartnell and Giroux are constantly yapping at officials but never get called out for it. It's only now with the much more in depth coverage that they're finally being exposed for what they are: petulant children.

Which would you rather have done to you as a player? Have your glove swatted away, or a shoulder in the head?

Chere was thinking that Clarky got switched with Bernier because the Devils had some great chances when Bernier was on the Parise line, so Pete decided to keep the lines like that.

Clarkson has looked kind of sluggish so far, so I wouldn't be surprised if he and Bernier were swapped.

He worked well on the 4th line, none the less.

Clarkson did get knocked down to line 4, but I think that was more because of how well Bernier was playing.
