Possible if Brodeur stands on his head. He's on/off right now.

I wouldn't be surprised if a team with a 3 time Stanley Cup winning goalie won either.

I'm the biggest Devils fan out there but in all honesty IF they get past Philly, and that's still a big IF, they have no work for the Rangers. Rangers will kill them.

But if Washington were to beat them...

They could really do it.

Really? I'd be pretty surprised considering they would be by far the worst remaining team if they can even get past Philadelphia.

Devs played the rangers to a 3-3 record during the regular season. More than held their own and controlled puck possession in most of those games. Lundqvist is the one guy standing in our way if it's the Rangers in the ECF. He can send the devils home singlhandedly.

Uh oh? We got one of these threads? We're toast
Still too much hockey left to be played.

Regardless, the Devils have been playing like this since the All Star Break. It's nice to see them getting the recognition for their aggressive play and underrated roster.
I think the snub, having no players represented at the game, really lit a fire under everyone's ***** and gave them an extra gear down the stretch. Hope they can keep it up.

Agreed, who predicted the Devils to be up 3-1 against Philly. I as a Devil fan actually thought the Devils would be out by now. So far they have givin me faith that we can play along any team rite now. Seriously Bryz has been play good I think. Yea he gives up bad goals, but his team puts him in that position. He saved a lot of goals tonight. So even Henrik does not scare me if the devils played them. I just do not want to hear ranger fans if we do play them.

I feel the exact opposite as a Rangers fan. If we get by the Caps and if the Flyers miraculously beat the Devils, I think we might have a good chance at the cup.

Devils matchup too well against the Rangers.

Florida is an inept offensive team and the Flyers are being utterly dominated by the devils skaters that the number of shots and quality of shots have been low. Yet the Flyers took two games to overtime and Florida took the Devils to a game 7. He has given up a lot of soft goals.

Everyone matches up well against us according to these boards and somehow we're still here.

And they're pretty much right. The Caps and Sens have matched up really well thus far in the playoffs against the Rangers.

I'm sure the Rangers have better goaltending.

I guess the question is, if he is average now, what happens when he catches fire?

Yeah and we beat the Senators and we're right in it with the Caps, so why should I be scared of any potential matchup?

It's about the bottom line. If it takes 4 game 7's then that's what it takes.

I mean, before the series even started, I posted on these boards that the winner of the Devils-Flyers series would win the Cup.

Hmmm...

More importantly, you can score a lot more points in 28 games than 16

In what realm are the Caps better than NJ? or PHX for that matter.

Holtby>>>>>>>>>>>>>Brodeur

insane defensive system, quick d balanced d, offense can show up at any instance with backstrom, semin and ovi. mike green is coming into his own this series after taking a while to recover from a concussion. The caps are arguably the best team left in the playoffs imo.

Holtby isn't that superior to Brodeur. And besides Alzner and Carlsson, the Caps defense is trash. I cringe when I see Hamrlik and Wideman out there.

This logic could not be any more backwards.

So Brodeur is not playing good enough, yet he's handling the best offensive team in the playoffs just fine and is going to have a tougher time against lesser offensive teams? If they start playing against teams with better goalies, that's going to make it tougher on the team, not Brodeur.
