Careful, the sunshine parade will come in and talk about how none are ever available and how are team is good enough and how Trotz will get the most out of our current garbage.
Or the gloom and doom brigade will moan like they have since October. Too bad the lottery predictions were wrong ... YET AGAIN. Until the owners open up the purse strings, we won't sign a #1 center through free agency. Few teams trade that type of player, so unless we're giving up Weber, don't expect that player in return. That leaves trying to catch lightning in a bottle with a late first round draft pick.
That's not "sunshine parade" ... that's just reality.
I'm upset we're not winning this series, but, I'm laughing at how many people here underestimated them and can't understand how they could be ahead of us.
It's funny that some of us believed in this team with all the changes that were happening. I applauded all the moves we made this offseason. I was thrilled with the loss of overpaid underproducing vets. I loved the youth movement. So is it ok that I thought the moves were good and I still want more? We couldn't score in a wh*r* house with a stack of hundred dollar bills right now.
Hornqvist scores first
Weber with a game 5 Anaheim-esque slapper to tie
Bourque with OT winner
I am ever the optimist
Coming back to win this game is the kind of thing we need to realistically win the series. Need to totally shake their confidence, goalie, and system. Even if we had eeked this one out 1-0 or 2-1, I don't see PHoenix's system cracking for 3 games in a row... unless their confidence is totally shaken...
we are losing because our big name players were invisible. plain and simple.
rinne, legwand, fisher, weber, suter, radulov, sk.. pretty much everyone
I'm not ecstatic with the performance of a lot of our guys...but Weber? Weber has played a helluva game so far. An inch to the left and he'd have what would've been the tying goal.
His effort on the backcheck alone in this game should tell you how hard he's trying. Not invisible whatsoever.

Seriously though winning this game could change the entire series.

im talking whole series. tonight he seems like one of the few that cares to me
the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expect things to change. We do the same thing every power play and we do the dump and chase. We can't get the puck up or get the bounces. Can't score on open nets and Smith has had every answer to weak shots.

But we are trying! That is all we can ask for! Right?
