While Free Halpern has its merits unquestioned but is he really that much better than Beagle on Hendricks on the road at draws? Its not like we had MJ or Laich out there.

Every pp the caps had, laich would lose the draw starting the pp. that killed every pp chance this team had. Thats why you have helpy in this series.

Schultz over Orlov is a little disturbing. Can Orlov possibly be that bad?

Beagle and Hendricks have been good, but I don't think they are top 5 in the league good.

Uhh Girardis hit is textbook charge. Left his feet, causing Green to hit his head on the ice.

This team is absolutely clueless in the offensive zone (the few times we get there). Too busy practicing the turtle.

Some of you guys need to step off the edge. Its like you doomsday folk are part of some cult or something. Is Hale-Bopp coming around again?

The Boys held fast against the defending champs, and they responded after that sucker punch 3 OT loss. I got faith they can stave off elimination in Game #6. Need a better effort over 3 periods though. Thats the key.

For some reason "the turtle" makes me laugh. I got a turtle head sticking out! It's the caps!

as much whining as there was last year about the sweep its better than the caps usual fair...this. lucy pulling the football away stuff.

they can win the next two games and prove they are different. they won after the 3 ot L. being a fan of this team is no fun and thats a fact.

Don't think that's as bad as Aucoin over a top 5 in the NHL face off specialist, veteran, ex captain and a Caps fan his whole life......how does Halpern not deserve those 9 min?????

This we can agree on. I actually kind of wanted them to lose game 4 to TB last year to put us out of our misery.

That's weird 'cause you guys always seem to get such good quality chances (much more than the Rangers who tend to keep it around the perimeter). Backstrom's had two breakaway chances in the last two games. They need to lift the puck more as well; he sort of threw it at his pads.

I've cooled down guys. Reality is we just need to win Game 6 to take it back to NY and then anything is possible.

Honestly, I bet NONE of us expected them to win in OT after that late goal and with NY riding the momentum in OT with another PP.

The thing I hate the most, is how ****ing close we are to winning.
So many odd man breaks to get a 2 goal lead in the 3rd. They score on a ****ing powerplay with 6 seconds left. I mean... ugh.

What Halpern does have is certainly experience and is probably a little cooler under pressure.

He would have been hungry, that's for damn sure.

Hearing he is complaining, there is no way he gets back in now short of injuries.
