Nothing big, just seems that the NHL is officially saying that Jamison is their guy.

Complete waste of time. Fluff, fluff and more fluff. Meatball questions from sissy reporters that are completely failing to actually ask any questions that matter. Morons.

This entire thing is nonsense.

You Coyote fans should be excited. This man sounds like the real deal and you guys could be the next big thing in the NHL.

Don't feel any better or worse about things now than I did 2 weeks ago.

EDIT: sorry "weeks not months"

Jamison is absolutely the right guy for you guys. He did great things for us in San Jose.

NHL basically says, ''we support Jamison"

Yet, everyone admits nothing has actually happened and they still need to go through every single step in the process.

Reporters finally asked two good questions and they were ducked completely.

It's pretty clear that QC either thinks or wants this desperately to be about them. Gary gave him a piss off answer. I'd be embarrassed if that was the caliber of the press in my city. And we know a thing or two about awful media in Phoenix.

Disappointed that GJ didn't tip his hand about where he hopes to make improvements. Gave a fluff answer on that one. But he would be the first full time owner interested solely in the team. I can't imagine it would be too hard to get back to where losses are reasonable. I believe the Sharks operate at a loss but they make net money off of the arena. Jobing.com is a world class concert venue that has basically been empty for the last few years. We're also looking at more sponsorship and new jerseys, I bet.

It doesn't really. It's just that I avoid politics for a reason. I hate politicians and pundits. I don't need this kind of slime invading sports. This is supposed to be a kid's game and an escape from the complications of actual life. Follow the bouncing ball passification.

Can't I be frustrated without also being surprised?

XX,

If this deal actually goes down, I am SURE we will be getting a new name "ARIZONA COYOTES" and new uniforms/logos/brand. No doubt. It's been eight or nine years since the last rebrand, and there is too much money to be made to pass this up. Should help with losses in the very short term.

I'm not sure what you wanted them to say. There's been no lease vote, so therefore no BOG approval. The keys don't get handed over until the city votes on something. Anything they vote on has to be publicly available for 24 hours or whatever.

I see all that happening too, and it's a shame about our logo. One of the best in the league for sure, I love it.

Whatevs. I never expected them to say anything. I guess maybe I hope for "tentative board approval pending lease agreement" or maybe even "tentative lease agreement pending council vote" like maybe the crucial parties had all spoke and were all in agreement and the only steps left were mere formality. Was it outright stupid for me to hope for this? Absolutely. I would think after all these years you fellas would've figured out I'm not all that bright. Angry? Sure. Intelligent enough to figure out why? No way jose.

Mitch, I'd be shocked if it were all that different. I'd guess we stay with Brick, Sand, Black, and White. I figure they'll change the amounts of each and the placement in the jersey and logo. I figure the logo will be mostly the same, but maybe add just a touch of generic, cliche, southwestern or Native American flavor.

Like some combo of...

and

but not totally awful. Similar color scheme, with a touch of Kachina, but not nearly as over the top as the originals. Sort of a happy medium between the uber bland we have now and the psycodelic peyote trip of the 1990s.

Sharks have IMO the best or one of the best Jersey setups (apart from the generic black 3rd) in the league. I'm excited to see what Jamison can do on that front. I doubt they get re-branded the Arizona Coyotes though. No point in that.

Damn that bottom color scheme and logos from the top would look sweet together (Coyote head with feathers is horrible). I could definitely get behind those with a black jersey with sand letters and red trim thrown in. Who came up with that?? Somebody tell GJ to hire that person/company.
