D'Agostini was decent before the team was depleted by injuries, I'm sure Reid's giving him an opportunity to start the year and will make a move to upgrade later if he needs to.

Half the team could be gone in 2 years, no question he's going for it.
I agree. But does this bump guys like Lorentz and Nosad to the 3rd if he does make 2 deals for top forwards? Don't know how impressed they will be..

That shouldn't prevent you from making improvements to your team. I really don't think the team is concerned about that.

What does Nosad have to be upset about? He's 17, he has 2 more years left in the league after this season to be a top 2 liner. How many 17 year old 2nd round picks will be playing on a top 2 line next year? Had he played for any other team last year, he probably doesn't get close to the opportunity he had here.

Lorentz hasn't proven anything yet either.

Pelino plays his 3rd line as much as any coach in the league anyways, they're still going to play a big role with the team.

Going to use Campagna as an example as the new forward Reid aquires along with Brett Ritchie..

Menard-Quine-B.Ritchie
'92. '93. '93.

N.Ritchie-Campagna-Findlay
'95. '94. '92.

Lorentz-Cornel-Nosad
'93. '96. '95.

Tanus-Pierog-Betzold
'95. '94. '95.

I agree with that, I really like the Lineup with Campagna added and a 3rd line with Lorentz and Nosad means GREAT depth. Really looking forward to next season. Now let's just get the attendence numbers up!

Miika Arponen ‏@miikaarponen
Promising #Tappara forward prospect and 2013 draft eligible Jonatan Tanus will move to play for Peterborough Petes in the #OHL in 2012/13. "

Miika Arponen ‏@miikaarponen
A bit over a year ago Tanus was considered to be as good or even better than 2013 draft top prospect Aleksandr Barkov jr. #OHL "

Good news!

I'm hearing the Brett Ritchie deal will be done soon..

So with that being said this is what I see happening out of camp.. Just a prediction:

Menard92-Quine93(A)-B.Ritchie93

N.Ritchie95-Findlay92-Lorentz93

Tanus95-Cornel96-Nosad95

Betzold95-Pierog94-Mathers93(A)

Key Reserves: Maguire96, Hatcher94, Baker95

Koekkoek94(C)-Ceresnak93

Murphy95-Seymour93(A)

Boland94-Robinson95

Varga95

Key Call-Up: Murduff93

D'Agger93
Guigo95

Key Call-Up: Robson95

2011 draft pick.... Was impressive at rookie camp. Brings a lot of grit to his game.

Kitchener's 2nd round picks came from the Puempel trade.

Why go for DeMelo when you can get better?

What better defender is going to be available? Teams usually like to keep them around.. I just figure Missy might wana stockpile young talent.

I'm sure lots of defenceman will be available. Is DeMelo? The Petes don't have any spots on D available as it is, so you might as well go big in aquiring a defenceman in a contending year. Same at forward. The Petes lack top threats.

The Petes also have an OA spot open.

Petes will have to score by committee from Menard, Quine, N.Ritchie, Findlay, Lorentz and hopefully B.Ritchie.

Hmm, Nosad will not and should not be moved. He was very impressive as a rookie. Guess the Petes and Majors won't be making a deal. The Petes need to sell yound D for a solid #2.

One guy the Petes will love in due time is Matt Alvaro. He will get into the lineup at some point this year i believe. Its hard to deny this kid. He works his butt off. No one worked harder than him from my view on the ice. Kid inspires others with his bulldog mentality. He is quite crafty and smart. He is one guy that size is completely thrown out the window. Great character.

I would make one change to that:

Could be very likely your right.. Cornel needs time to develop. I'm starting to think B.Ritchie might not be wearing Maroon and White next season...

Don't know what team but I've heard that Brett Ritchie will be traded away before the trade deadline, possibly mid season pending a deal not getting done before the season.

Williamson must be holding Reid to a ransom for Brett.
