The way thing looks, we will be playing the Yotes and they do scare me a little. Personally, I rather face the Preds than the Yotes.
Besides Smith's been playing out of his mind, Doan is a Kings killer, they are fast and bigger team than us. It will be an epic battle in the West.

Phoenix. Less travel.

No easy teams left.

Before round 2? The Coyotes. After round 2? The Predators. The Coyotes are scary right now. The Western Conference Finals are going to be our hardest test in over a decade. These next few weeks are going to be nuts. A lot of adversity coming our way. Even more so than knocking out the first and second seeds...

This, plus if the Preds come back they will be red hot too. I rather gamble on a Yotes team that may be complacent for the first game.

Phoenix. Less travel, divisional opponent, Kings have been exorcising that which plagues them.

Phoenix solely for travel. I think either Phoenix or Nashville will keep the Kings' hands full.

I just want their series to drag out as long as possible.

PHX less travel,

There is no such thing as a good match-up right now. Go with the less travel.

It doesn't matter. Both teams are very good and there will be a fantastic series.

I like the Yotes for the travel aspect for the Kings. For me, I'd prefer the Preds since that means the road games would be on a little earlier and not cause the loss of sleep that the Pacific time zone games do.

I'd rather play Nashville. Although if Smith starts burning out or gets injured, I'd love to have Labs in net!

Phoenix.

Less travel, and I think the Kings match up much better against them.

If the Kings play Nashville, doesn't Bernier have to start?

I think the Kings are faster than you give them credit for, and we're seeing in the playoffs, the Kings just keep coming ... wave after wave after wave of forecheck and they're playing smarter (to be fast) meaning passing, getting the puck out of their zone faster than during the season, and with more puck possession ... so the Coyotes speed isn't as worrisome.

As for size ...

Kings Avg Player Height = 6'1" / vs Coyotes = 6'2" / vs Preds = 6'1"
Kings Avg Player Weight = 209 lbs / vs Coyotes = 206 lbs / vs Preds = 202 lbs
Kings Avg Player Age = 27 / vs Coyotes = 29 / vs Preds = 27

They're taller, but we're heavier, and younger ... so meh ... it's a wash.

The dirt dogs scare me too but only because of Tippet. The rest are just the same type of teams that we have been facing more or less so it doesn't matter to me. The difference maker to me is Tippet. I love our chances against whoever we face.

Phx does look real scary. If it ends up being the yotes it will be a tough series.

Quick against the Preds just doesn't work. They always shoot high on him and it usually goes on. Phoenix isn't any better, King killer Shane Doan and Radim ****ing Vrbata always give the Kings trouble. Both teams are not easy, but i'd choose the coyotes because of less travel.

Probably Pheonix. I have more faith that Mike Smith can potentially crack than Rinne.

Either.

Phoenix - less travel
Nashville - means series went 7 games.

The match-up isn't all that important. If the Kings stay focused and play their game, they will beat either of them anyways.

At this point I have no idea what to hope for our expect in regards to our next opponent. This has been nuts.

Phoenix. For the lesser travel, plus Kings newfound offense is good to go and Smith is prime to have his hot streak end. We'll light him up.

Predators.

Smith is playing better than any other goaltender in the NHL right now IMO. We were also better against the Preds in the regular season. Phoenix has always been a pain in the ass for us.

Record against Coyotes this season: 3-1-2
Record against Predators this season: 3-1-0

Give me Nashville. We'll only have to go there once anyway.

Phoenix, though I fear the Tippett.

Nashville has a very good team, better than Phoenix IMO.

Whoever we play, I hope the Pho/Nash series goes seven games, 7OT per game and everyone is walking around like a bowlegged cowboy when it's done.
