I expect that this is going to make the select-a-seats a little bit busier than usual. Im currently in 205 row 9, previous year 206 Row 10. I guess that means I'll be in 204 Row 8 this season

I suspect you are right. They'll back off in increases if attendance falls off. At that point, player payroll will come down.
not renewing(have had the tickets since the tank opened), they have done nothing to justify a cost increase, they have asked for deposits earlier and earlier every year as well. Regardless of their supposed "increased costs" they still have to justify what they charge with the product in the arena, I am afraid they are falling short.
And they're charging more for end that Sharks attack twice.

KDB, I tend to agree. I sit in sec 214, row 14, two rows above the next price tier (actually two price tiers) and two seats in from the blue line aisle. I think it's been the sweet spot cost vs. view and unless I win the lotto, will hold these seats forever.
But it does rankle me to have to eat a price increase when they had a first round exit and they didn't spend to the cap this year.
Can someone explain how a seat between the blue lines costs less than a seat in the corner? I don't get it.
I also sit in Section 212 Row 3 and it looks like there will be some vacancies in that row next year. In 212, we sit BEHIND the goal line. It makes no sense.
The Sharks squeak into the playoffs, win one playoff game and they do this? Can't wait to see the nice glossy, STH package that they mail us that declares us the "best fans in the NHL". Yeah, right. Thanks!

Yup, same here - Sec 201, row 13. Much better seats than 203/204, which presumably would now have higher prices.
I'm guessing my $35 seats will probably go to $37 (a 5.7% increase) - inline with the increases in 214-216 row 2-12 seats ($53->$56) .

I know a lot of season ticket holders that couldn't sell their seats at cost, and were already going to give up their rights due to this.
Add the disappointing ending and rise in ticket prices, and I think we'll see season ticket holder base decrease significantly. Going to be a lot of empty seats next year.

Yup. My tix are in 213, row 8, Sharks attack twice end, on the aisle. I couldn't get near cost for weekday games last season. 2010-2011 season I could at least break even on those seats.
And now a price increase for this section? If I was able to go to more games I might be in, but I recently moved and sell 90% of my tickets on the secondary market.
I'm probably out unless our off-season moves look promising.
