I totally get what you're saying and feel similarly. I have this mental image of a packed tank with pairs of the empty seats of non-renewing sth's scattered around. It makes me sad.

I don't think its silly. I don't think anybody who walks away from season tickets is turning their back on the team, season tickets are quite an investment.
Season tickets might be something I consider down the road but for now I'll be looking for a 10 game pack.

Well, just to be contrary...I actually increased my ticket purchase for 2012-13. I went from 1/2 season in $96 seats to full season in $76 seats. Just a one year trial basis though, a long-time STH lost their job but doesn't want to lose their seats

I heard so many stories like the ones above while looking around for options--there are soooo many folks who love going to games, love their seats, have had them for years...but have finally reached the breaking point. It really sounds like a rude awakening in the ticket office is about to happen next week.

I asked for a select-a-seat appointment as well, will report back in June what sort of inventory they're trying to push.

Still a die hard fan and always will be, regardless of whether we win or lose. But if I can't easily sell some of my tickets, the cost of being a STH is pretty ridiculous.

I got an offer to specially construct a payment plan that will allow us to continue being season ticket holders does that count?

Thats interesting. Did you indicate that you would not be renewing? Or they just randomly offered that to you?

I've never been to a Sharks game but I am moving to the bay area next week, so I will be attending games.

How much does a pack cost? of 10 games or so?

If I recall from looking at the seat map from last season the packs ranged anywhere from $300 something to upper $500
Around August you should start checking the website for information or just fill out one of the forms online to have someone at the Sharks ticketing department call you.

I will also be getting a 10 game pack this season and I expect to pay around $400 per seat.

I believe today is the first day? My appointment is tomorrow at 6:20. Hoping to trade my 205 row 9 seats to center ice seats that are in a cheaper price range.

My friend had his appointment last night and said that there were more seats in the upper bowl than usual available. I'm hoping to either move as close to row 2 as possible in my current price bracket, or downgrade to the upper center ice tickets.

ack, thanks for the reminder.

My $35 seats in 214, row 14 (on blueline seats) went up by $5. Friggin' 15% or so increase. Sucks...hard. Re-upped anyways. Can't abandon the boys.

I got the same thing. I didn't renew and I got multiple emails and phone calls offering payment plans, etc. to renew. Don't blame them for trying, but I passed.

There were virtually no upper center ice tickets (228,201,202,214-216 - $40) when I went yesterday.

In Sec 201 there was just 1 single.
Secs 228 & 201 each had a pair and a couple of singles.
Sec 214 had one block of 4.
Sec 215 had nothing.
Sec 216 had a pair and a single.

Which is fewer than last season - really kind of surprising given the 14% price increase.

Is it because a lot of STHs decided to move to those sections from more expensive sections as they try and save a little money?
