Battle of i-10
The i-10 Series
... something else
What will we call it?
The Battle for Best in the Wild Wild West?
OT: I have Fox Sports Az on in the background (my back to the tv) and heard someone talking who sounded like Woody Harrelson (who I saw in a movie on Tv recently) - turned around wondering what he'd be doing on tv and of course, it wasn;t Woody Harrelson but Kirk Gibson. Never thought he sounded like Woody before but now if I'm not looking at him... sounds like Woody.
I can't say to know what you are going through after all the flak directed you way these past couple years (except by Kings fans, but never the majority of the NHL), but congratulations. Your team earned it. I remember the when the Ducks made the WCF on 2003. Nobody expected a non-traditional market like us to be there, but we were. I was ecstatic beyond belief, more so than when the Ducks were in the WCF in 2007. Enjoy this. You may not expect to win, though I hope you do; you may not expect an Stanley Cup, though I hope you win it; this is the greatest moment in your franchise's history. Maybe I'm being nostalgic for an underdog Ducks' team, maybe I'm sympathizing with a team that is geographically closer to my hometown than the team I root for (I'm from inland Southern California), either way enjoy this. Soak in being one of four. Soak in the glory of gloating over O6 franchises, for it may not last. From now until the cup is handed out, the NHL belongs to you as much as the Canadiens,Leafs, Bruins, Red Wings, or Blackhawks. This is your time.
