I'm sure Shanahan's punishment will be disproportional to the offense.

Gordon takes a hard elbow to the head in game 1 and the league doesn't even look at. Maybe he should have laid on the ice and feigned injury.

Shea Weber $2500 for slamming Detroit forward Henrik Zetterberg's head into the glass after the clock had expired. Should Klesa get more than $2500?

What the !@#$ is up with the inconsistency, and when is Torres' hearing? Love to see him back on the ice.

I think having Phoenix advance in the playoffs is the NHL's worst nightmare.

No no no. Bettman and the NHL want us to have the cup, and are getting refs to make it happen

Looking at his past and based on what I see online, Kiesla has been suspended in the past for 2 games in 06.

Hmmm, 6 years ago. This is definitely a trend. An example must be made of him, since he isn't a star. 17 game suspension to ensure he's gone for the rest of the playoffs.

Well, I was going to say "star = used to be on the checking/energy line of some big market team for a couple seasons" but I think it's about the same effect.

Is this some sort of joke? I saw the hit last night and thought it was borderline boarding/hit from behind, forgot the hit even happened after the period, and now there's a ****ing hearing? Wow.

I could live with a fine since it wasn't a good hit but suspensions shouldn't be handed out for that kind of stuff at this stage of the season.

It was a hockey play that ended badly. Klesla's fault no doubt, but if Halischuk stays on his feet it wouldn't even be a penalty. He probably would have just leaned over the bench and given Whitney a little peck on the cheek.

I'm going to scout bridges today but I'm not going to jump off one before there's a ruling. Any suspension would be ridiculous, imo.

Jimmy Hayes never had a hearing, did he? It would be a joke if this is a suspension and the league doesn't even look at Hayes' boarding hit on Rozsival.

It's a boarding penalty. So what? Just like when Hayes boarded Roszival. He got a penalty and life moved on. Brendan Shanahan is a ****ing joke.

Fans needs to be heard on this. This man needs to be removed. There has to be some forum with which to make the NHL aware that this ridiculousness is alienating existing fans and winning over exactly zero new ones.
