How is it that every reliever they have comes out and falls behind. This is brutal.

Only giving up 1 run on bases loaded with 1 out ain't bad. Villaneuva did a good cleanup job there.

That's a pretty good way to break out of the slump.

Too bad EE was leading off. Maybe if the third place hitter hadn't hit into a double play last inning...

Okay, I've been trying to understand this most of the season.

Can somebody explain the Blue Jays fascination with Eric Thames? He's not fast. He's not a good fielder. He doesn't have outstanding power. He's not a run producer. He doesn't look like a guy that will hit .300. Is he just a place filler until the decide to give Snider a long run or until Gose is ready?

I don't like him much either, but he's got decent power. He's not the weakest link.

Cause he was going to hit a HR in that inning no matter what...

Snider is currently injured and Gose can't hit a lick in AAA.

Of all the guys to complain about, Thames should be pretty far down the list. Not everybody on the team is going to be an all-star either.

Did I say that? No, I didn't say that. I said: it would have been nice for him to hit with runners on.

I'm not complaining. I'm wondering. To me, he just seems like a guy.

That's what he is. A replacement level player. With a little luck, he goes on a hot streak and AA can get some good value from him at the deadline.

Man, Francisco Liriano's fallen off a cliff since he blew his arm out a couple years ago.

Good spot for Casey here. Three run lead. He can ease into this new role.

Who knows, we may be praising Cordero in a week or two. Maybe Casey and Vill get the job done and are an effective tandem in the late innings (with the help of Oliver).

That's for sure. I'm in a keeper league and a guy in that league kept him through all the injuries and held onto him over other players and then finally had to release him. You wonder if his future is in the bullpen as some sort of set up reliever.

That was strike three. That was a terrible call by the ump.
