Holland won't be in Manchester until this afternoon and will meet up with the team for Friday's game in Philly.

Gleason won't play today either, he's got sore ribs...Likely means Schmidt on defense and Milam in the line-up...

they really need this win heading into the tough weekend of games they are going to have. Any chance we could get that Philly game telivised up here? that would be sweet.

I don't get it. Is it the fact that Norfolk got 2 pts instead of 1? Or that the Monarchs lost as a result of the shootout instead of it remaining a tie? In either case, purely from a points perspective, the Monarchs ended up the same, regardless of whether it had ended up in a tie or they lost in the shootout. The only difference is that Norfolk got 2 points instead of 1.

For me, it's that the Monarchs:

Gave up TWO SH Goals and lead the league in SHGA with 10 in 26-games
Surrendered the lead with less than 2-mins left in regulation
Couldn't score in OT
Scored 1 out of 4 in the SO

IMO, they gave a point away today...

I never expected them to go undefeated. They lead the AHL in shorthanded goals against with 10 in 26-games. They're 1-2-1-1 in their last five games 4-points out of a possible 10...They've had 4-days like this or worse in the past five games...

exactly. and by looking at the box score this may have been their worst game yet. yeah they lost in a shootout and got the point but they were outshot very badly and had what? 14 SOG? ack.
on the bright side Manchester picks up a point on Hartford who lost in regualtion at home to the Baby Bruins 3-2.
