The Evolution of The Leafs Ticket Stub (picture heavy)

While searching for something to kill these long summer hours, I happened across my ticket stubs from over the years. My old man shares season tickets with a couple guys so I've been lucky enough to catch 3-7 games a year. It's kind of interesting how they've changed over the course of the years (note the prices (all nosebleeders)). One thing's for certain, the damn things keep getting bigger and bigger in size. The 91- 94 tickets are about a quarter of the size of the final Clark one.

Sorry if all the pictures take too long to load / crash your browser! Enjoy if they load and feel free to add your tickets if you've got the time/energy/etc. to share.

Proud of this one:

(not sure if it was necessary to cover the section number, but you know, interwebs)

09/10 season's ticket (much smaller than last years'):

10/11 Season added:

Leafs tickets were starting to look pretty ugly before the lockout, but do look a lot better now.

Why was Andy Wozniewski allowed on a ticket?

So prices have almost tripled in 18 years... has that applied to all sections? I assume the opening of the ACC had a lot to do with the increase, and the obvious inflation.

Cool post

Glad ya'll liked them! I've got some classic programs from some games as well, but I stopped getting those many moons ago.

Awesome post. A great retrospective.

I'll throw this in here as well, the evolution of the jersey in detail:

If I dug around I could find a few of the Red Wings games (preseason and regular season) over the past several years at my place. Never miss them when they come to T.O.

Although I will cherish (despite being a best/worst game of my life thing) my Game 5 SCF (the 3 O/T one) from 2008.

I moved to Toronto two years ago. I've managed to get my hands on face value tickets at $45 for five different games. If you get a presale email and join the last minute ticket club, you have about a minute to log onto ticketmaster and scramble for the few scraps of remaining tickets whenever a game hasn't sold out for some reason. We're talking very back row of the arena, but you can still see the game quite well from there, and I can't complain for $45.

Sorry for the bump and the delay, but I finally got around to adding this season's design.
