Any chance we see Brad Ross wearing a Marlies jersey for the conference finals/finals when the Winterhawks are done?

This is great news, to see this team carried by the younger players and going deep in the playoffs. Something to feel good about.

they wont raise ticket prices in the ACC will they?.....

Marlies have great prices and thats why Ricoh has been so packed. I'd hate to see them use the ACC as a gimmick to raise prices for the games.

I went to game three and five in Abbotsford. The stadium was empty; half empty for game three; two-thirds empty for game five. It was terrible. What kind of crowds has the Ricoh been getting?

Off the top of my head, I believe they've had one sellout & the rest have come a couple hundred seats short. The building looks packed at least.

I'm praying for a weekend home game next round. I'll never be able to go otherwise.

Ricoh has been pretty packed and great atmosphere, seems to keep getting better and better the farther they go. I went to a game in round 1 and round 2, both were pretty packed, round 2 bit more so and rowdier.

I expect most of the games in the Ricoh to sell out from hear on out.

If its in the ACC ticket prices will stay the same I imagine. After they sell them on game day I would hand out free tickets on the street to fill up the 19,000. Theyll still makes lots of money on beer.

Game 3 wasn't too bad. Yes, not near full, but their attendance of just over 3000 was alot lower than I guessed. I had guessed in the 3700-3900 range. That was the only game I went to, but man, the midweek games were awful. 400 people who went to Game 4 didn't bother going the next night.

Must say I'm glad to see the Marlies doing good in Toronto - My hometown London Knights (OHL) are in the OHL final and one win away from a berth in the Memorial Cup, and the Marlies are doing good as well. Just need those Leafs to make the playoffs and all is good.

Every remaining series in the AHL playoffs could be decided by tonight. I really hope that's the case. Don't want to wait too long for another Marlies game.

Oklahoma wins their series 4-1 against San Antonio. Barons will have home-ice in the series.

OKC vs. Toronto Marlies

I actually think the 2-3-2 structure of the home advantage favors the Marlies.

AHL probably does that instead of the 2-2-1-1-1 because of travel/cost factors right?

Yeah he's been pretty good considering he's played over 90 games this year, more than double what he played before.

Another intriguing fact is that he's not allowed to use the stick he is comfortable with right now and even though it's driving him nuts, he's been able to produce.

Gardiner might be, but only just a little. The odd thing about the AHL is that you can’t necessarily dress your best team because of tricky roster rules. You can’t necessarily even use the hockey stick you want to use because of other, even trickier rules.

The league has a deal with Reebok/CCM that stipulates that only three players per team can use a stick made by any other company. Seniority decides which players get to choose their own sticks. On the Marlies, it’s Mike Zigomanis, Philippe Dupuis and Jay Rosehill before everybody else.

Gardiner, the darling of the Maple Leaf defence while playing with a Bauer stick in the NHL, now has to use a Reebok model in the minors. It’s driving him nuts.

“I just don’t have a feel. My hands don’t feel as good,” he says, shaking his head. “It makes me a little less confident, for sure.”

That's the weirdest thing I've heard. Not using the stick I like would drive me crazy too!

Especially when its a guy who doesn't even take a regular shift. I can see Dupuis and Zigy making sense. Give Rosehill an Easton Aluminium.

Gardiner should be a beast for you guys against us, at least we have a minute advantage since he doesn't have his usual stick.

The series is 2-3-2 format. May 21st, 23rd and 25th are the Marlies home games. All on the weekdays sadly.

All leagues have their huge sponsorship deals which create strange rules. Remember Chara getting in trouble for drinking a coke. The CFL had sponsorship deals with Reebok, and players who wore shoes other than reebok, taped over their shoes and spray painted the Reebok logo over top. Reebok supplied the plastic stencil and the spray paint.

All games at Ricoh then? Weird it starts almost a week after both series are over.
