Not that I particularly care but seems like a guy with a problem to me.
I remember those incidents (they were in the tabloids). Maybe a regular job has calmed him down a bit, since as I remember those incidents happened before his job at Pelicans and also right after he ended his career in the NHL ("don't you know who I am?!" )
Who knows though, I don't obviously know the guy personally and never liked him much but it seems a little streched to think that he could hold two jobs with a serious drinking problem.
I find it highly unlikely that he could hold his job at Pelicans or with the NT if he'd have a serious drinking problem. Sure, he sometimes takes a few drinks more than he should but that's not too uncommon in the vodka belt countries. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol...ope#Vodka_belt)
Our current goalie, Edgars Masaļskis, had a drinking incident in the old town of Rīga. He was also injured. Doesn't mean he has problems either. Athletes and alcohol is just a bad combination, be it once a year or every day.
