Some stuff seems bat**** crazy when you hear about it.
I do believe in some of them, for instance I was watching game 5 and the flyers scored so I turned it off and told myself to do the essay I needed to do and if I got some of it done they would be winning when I tuned back in. Sure enough, its 2 to 1 not even 5 minuteds later when I turn it back on. I already lose my sanity watching this team play, no need to lose it outside of that 7:30 to 10ish timeslot.

to keep me from losing my mind in this timeslot, I started to workout while watching the games, teling myself if I do X amount of pushups they will score a goal this period. In the end, we are all psychotic.

I haven't shaved since the Devils started playing in the playoffs. It's more for the tradition of playoff beards than a superstition. I'm not superstitious at all.

It`s funny cause I sometimes do this too.

That said, I don`t believe it has any impact on their performance. haha

My sanity is the most important thing.

Ever since game 2 of the Philly series, I've been wearing black/dark shirts and shorts/pants, watching the games on a stream (rather than on the 46" TV) and drinking one glass of water between each period. You can bet I'm going to keep it up until a loss comes.

I've been doing the same thing! I bought a bottle for the first game against FLA and my buddies and I can only take a shot from it if the Devils score a goal. I even glue a little Devils logos over the wax emblem for each bottle.

I put all of my clothes that had orange on them away and wore my '85 skating Christmas tree jersey for all games. Also not shaving.

Haven't washed that jersey either, but it's hanging up....

I'm not sure I can get rid of all of my blue clothes.

Oh yeah, the night before game 1 I ordered a cheesesteak from my local sub shop. After the loss, I vowed not to eat another one.

4 games and a day later, I got myself a mother****ing cheese steak. Eat it Philly.

Been going to a pizza place in town before some of the games in the playoffs so far. I'm personally 6-0, having gone before games 4, 6, and 7 vs. Florida and 3, 4, and 5 vs. Philly. I plan on continuing this, at the very least for night games.

I personally also happen to be 3-0 when attending games this year in the playoffs. I'll be at all of the home games, but if anyone wants to fund my trip(s) for road games, I will gladly go and deliver some wins*

*no refunds if the team doesn't win

I do some form of exercise during the pregame as well as during intermissions. Also during commercials if we're losing. I feel like it sends good 'work ethic' karma to the team. They're mostly undefeated when I do it, lol.

I have come to learn that if I even have HF open on game day we are doomed, so I avoid this place like the plague on gameday now. Also learned that my neck beard was creating loses, since I've been shaving it on game day have no lost (I did not shave for Game 1 against the Flyers...) I also have to wear what is now a gross Devils shirt I got for free in a Living Social deal for the last Colorado game at The Rock this year.

Finally I have to have this cowbell someone generously gave me in Game 6 of Round 1 with me at all times on Game Day. It helped lead Trav Trav to win in OT when lots in the crowd were starting to give up, despite the fact it is about to break off the handle it has rallied into this great run.

I don't wear the colors of any team we play against ever. It's not a superstition, I just don't like looking like I'm supporting the enemy.

My buddy needs to sit in the same seats at the bar in the same order, and it's pretty obnoxious. The notion that anything he does actually affects the Devils is ridiculous.

I wear the same stuff to every home game but I do wash it. Also I don't like watching away games outside of my house, we have a bad record when I do that. We have never won a game when we've watched at ESPN in Disney World.

I eat the same snack before every playoff game since 95 when they shutout Boston in the first two games. It's definitely my craziest superstition

HAHA! Just 4 or 5. They're tiny.

My heat would beat so fast during the game that I think I would burn off the calories and then some by the end anyway

That being said, with the amount of playoff games this team has played... you might have single handedly saved the bagel bites industry.

Yeah, meant to say before that I AM growing a playoff beard, but that's less superstition and more just a representation of how long one's team has survived.

Did do it right, though: shaved clean the morning of Game 1 vs. Florida, only recently started getting a bit unruly. My brother's got a good one going, though.

I like his voice, and I can impersonate it perfectly! Doc hurts my throat pretty bad! How does he do it in his late 60s?
