WCF start times

Just need to get prepared here. Should we expect 5pm weekday start times for these games?

Yes, I think that is likely.

The latest the East can finish up is Saturday so could the Yotes series start Sunday?

Didn't think about that.

All I know is that when I was planning the family vacation this year...I didn't think about missing games. How do I tell the wife and daughters that Disneyland is closed next week so I don't miss games 1 & 2?!?!

As much as it pains me to have to miss the games, I will be walking around Disneyland in my Coyotes jersey!!!

Based on the schedule from last year, this is what I am going to predict for the first 4 games (it was Sharks/Nucks so same timezones also):

Sunday, 3/5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.
Friday, 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, 3/5:00 p.m.

Secretly download a radio app and have a ear plug in one ear listening to the game. Secret service style.

If you're on Verizon 4G you can get the NHL Gamecenter app. They have radio streams of all the games.

The good news is these should all be on NBC right? Even I have that.

I should be able to get the 910 AM feeds with the I Heart Radio app. Or just make sure we go to dinner at ESPN Zone. I doubt hotels would carry NBC Sports network.

I heard rumblings last night about a Sat Night start....guessing that assumes the Rangers and Devils both close their series in 6 or 5-6 games, respectively.

i just hope they announce it here by tomorrow, Sunday is clear. I feel the hold out from formally announcing round two cost us ticket sales for Game 1.

Don't expect an announcement until the two Eastern Conference series end.

Exactly, and to that end I'm hoping they go as long as possible. Lots of rest, maybe a cooling effect on LA, and I don't want the game to be on Sunday.

The whole Lakers/Clippers thing is really going to mess this schedule up; forgot about that "other" league.

I'll be at game two....well I hope so. If it's Friday I have a decision to make because I will either be at the game or be in California for a family vaca. Hopefully they start Sun, Mon. Everyone is talking about a cooling effect on L.A. and all I have to say is that it goes both ways. I don't want us sitting around twiddling our thumbs. Let's get to it. The NBA schedule will only affect games in L.A. so here's to a non-Friday game 2!!

You mean home game 2 on Friday May 18? You are in the clear as Jobbing actually has an event that day (rare I know) as Rammstein is in town. I bet its Sunday/Tuesday and then Thursday/Saturday there...could see a back to back game though or a whole other format due to the "other" crappy league.

If its this Saturday, then I have Dbacks tickets to sell (bought a 10 game package, I have gone to 1 game all year because of the Yotes run )

Yeah but I wouldn't describe the Yotes as *hot* so I think a longer break is a net positive. Yeah they won 4-1 but it was pretty close for a 4-1 series. Also the sheer amount of over time games are a drain I'm sure.

I'm wondering what the earliest possible they could have game 1. Theoretically the Eastern conference could be settled by tomorrow evening, so does that mean the earliest game possible is Friday?

Roc & Manuch were saying Saturday at the earliest, but if not then, Sunday.

Technically, if the Devils win tonight and the Rangers dispose of the Caps on Wednesday night, we could get a Friday start, but most likely we would be looking at Saturday/Monday, followed by either Wednesday/Friday or Thurs/Sat in LA...

How reassuring! Thank you for pointing that out. I didn't even think to check for any other events because nothing else matters besides hockey! lol

IDK, I think they've been pretty hot thus far in my opinion. I guess it would be more fitting to say that Smith has been the hot one. Either way, with a coach like Tip, they will be ready.

keep in mind NBC will want a afternoon lead in game on 5/19 before the Preakness Stakes, so work a schedule backwards from that.

That game could only be in LA, PHI, WSH or NJ.

LA has nothing scheduled as of yet.
NJ has a WNBA game scheduled
Verizon Center has a WNBA game also
Wells Fargo has nothing.
