Lineup news...

O'Reilly is scratched for some reason. With Benn centering Burrows and Purcell, Ladd moves to RNH and Eberle.

Dubnyk is in goal.

Why would ROR be scratched? He's solid on faceoffs.

Apparently, O'Reilly is a little banged up. Will sit this game, but should be back in when the games start to matter. Just resting him up.

Shouldn't be any problem for Can right? 5-1 or 5-2, possible?

Depends if they were out partying last night. If they bring their A-game it's 10-1 for Canada, if they don't then 5-1 could be close.

Canada is clearly the better team. Look at the rosters how many Americans would be selected to play for the Canadian team? The result against Finland wasn't unexpected.

I'm surprised how well Kazakstan's defense is playing, if they played like this the entire tournement they might have actually had a win.

How come every time I watch these other second tier teams, I see them fighting. Nothing ever like that I see from Latvia.

Kazak's playing good counter and boxing up the defending zone.

Kane is just impressing me through and through.

Schenn also is looking to have a better game.

This Canadian team is weak, they start off too slow in all their games. That's fine for other teams, but Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech and USA are going to make them pay.

As a whole, the team looks really slow and out of touch with the larger ice surface. They're not playing at their full potential, which is a shame because they're all in peak physical condition.
