Pretty much everyone here laughed at this.

We're pumped for next season with Bergevin coming on board, but the habs flags on cars kinda disappeared. The Habs are not the talk of town ATM, especially with the student strike getting out of hand from simple protests to what's getting close to terrorism.

So Beckham's entirely right. And, well, as the worst homers in the history of sports, we can understand other homers ^_^.

From a scale from Sakic to Avery I'd say that was about a Subban.

Ignorance?

Uh, nope. No ignorance there at all, just a lighthearted jab at the Canadiens, nothing more.

And he's 100% right, too.

He made 250 million his first 5 years when he came over from Real Madrid. I believe that is what the Poster is implying.

Great thing for beckham to say.

His abilty to curve the ball is amazing.

How is he right?

No LA is not more of a hockey town even "AT THE MOMENT" than Montreal.

It just shows how the Kings have a better team "AT THE MOMENT" than the Habs.

It wasn't a troll by Beckham. It was a perfect response to a question.

I cant stand David Beckham, but thats not even trolling. Thats common sense.

He even apologized after, but Montreal was terrible, who are people kidding.

The amount of money he's brought in through commercial work and other top name players coming over has probably offset that by quite a bit.

Depends on how you define such a vague term as a "hockey town", but I am fairly sure there is a bigger hockey buzz going on in LA than Montreal right now.

Chirp. Such a stupid word.

+1 respect for Beckham. Lundqvist is still more attractive.

Beckham actually has always had a pretty good sense of humor. Most of the interviews I have seen with him, he always seems willing to poke a little fun at people and himself.

Who the hell would allow this dude's words to affect what they like? I didn't think many people outside of the UK really gave a **** about what he thought anyway.

I only clicked to see people complain about "troll" being used in the title. Wasn't disappointed!

Beckham's comment was pretty funny too
