That PP was not so bad, no shorthanded goals. Pretty good.

Why Mitchell is on the PP is BEYOND stupid. He got the name Johnny Malkin because he puck handles too much, he might make 1 good move but he always makes another move which turns the puck over. GET HIM OUT OF HERE.

They didn't kill the power play. It committed suicide.

Another momentum-killing power play. They are hard to watch.

Predictably, Mitchell makes a few nice moves, but then totally ****s it up with a bad pass to Richards. He holds on to the puck way too long and makes bad decisions. It's fine if they put him on the PP to win a faceoff, but he should be replaced immediately by another player right after.

How to get the PP working: Give the puck to Mitchell, have him skate with the puck and pass it to no one. Brilliant plan!

Pierre: "what did you work on?"

Torts: "Primarily- increasing John Mitchell's powerplay time"

Memo to Coach Tortorella: Hire another assistant coach to teach the fundamentals of offensive hockey, faceoffs, and running a power play.

Tell Torts we will pay all his fines for the duration of the season if he will take Mitchell off the PP.
