create your hockey frankenstein

here's mine:

Messier - for his hate to lose leadership

Stevens - for his hockey intelligence on every level, yes

Clark - for his wreckless abandon

ok, here are the rules, create your hockey beast with only 3 players and name 1 trait from each player and why

Yzerman's heart
Fedorov's explosiveness

Good luck...

On defense I would take:

Larry Robinson - because of his size which led to toughness (both in fights and in play) and intimidation
Bobby Orr - because of his skating with the puck, watching him play keep-away would be pretty sweet
Denis Potvin/Rod Langway - because of his defensive zone instincts

In goal:

Patrick Roy - for his raw goaltending skill
Billy Smith - for his willingnes to do anything for a win
Bernie Parent - for his clutch factor

Last edited by Ivan13: 05-18-2012 at 06:27 AM. Reason: added Langway

This has been done before. Somebody even photoshopped the player. It was beautiful.

We already did this.

The consensus was Eric Lindros with a steel skull.

But here you go...

Lidstrom's Longetivity
Gretzky's Vision
Lindros' Everything Else

The perfect 2-way center:

Bobby Orr's skill.

Bobby Clarke's durability, toughness and teeth.

Ryan Callahan's #JAM.

Lemieux had it all, so no need for a frankenstein

I'll try to do one without the mega-superstars like Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr, etc.

Overall skillset, physical abilities, etc. of Forsberg
Shot and goal scoring instincts of Sakic
Durability of Doug Jarvis

I'll create a goaltender because the Flyers have needed one for the longest time:

Dominik Hasek's ATHLETICISM
Martin Brodeur's PUCK-HANDLING
Ron Hextall's NASTINESS

Came to post this. If anyone ever created a hockey player it would be Eric Lindros. Maybe a little smarter.
