If the Kings keep playing this aggressively, then there is a good chance that they will burn themselves out far before they reach the Stanley Cup Finals.

You can't just have two guys chasing the puck the entire night. They'll probably ease up a bit in the next two games and the 'Yotes can steal one or both.

But damn do the 'Yotes look flat.

Brown has a huge reputation as a diver in the West.

Carter with his second of the night.

IIRC, the Kings have lost one game so far. ONE GAME. If they play the Rangers in the Finals I don't think they sweep, but I think they sweep the Devils if they play them, and they've GOTTA be the Cup favorite right now.

Not denying that, just commenting that it was absolutely not a dive. If a diver gets hit it doesn't necessarily mean he dove, and that wasn't even close.

Oh, I agree it wasn't a dive.

He just embellished the hell out of that Mike Smith jab. He fell down, got up, checked that the ref was looking and proceeded to fall down again.

This, this, 1000x this.

And to think, they almost didn't make the playoffs. Thank you Stars/Avalanche.

Also to think that I thought Blues/Avalanche and having the Stars over the Coyotes would make for better series...

I initially proposed:

Canucks-Stars
Blues-Avalanche
Sharks-Blackhawks
Predators-Red Wings

But how it turned out was far better.

Watching the postgame presser, Darryl Sutter sounds like Rocky Balboa.

Mike Smith is rolling into Princess Marty territory for me. Am I the only one tired of his flopping and antics? Get in his kitchen and he can't take the heat, just like Marty.

Anyway, I'm thrilled for the Kings. They right now are the only team that actually looks like a cup winning team. They easily beat the #1 and #2 seeds. They are manhandling the #3 team. They are just insane right now.

I can see why people are thinking that. This is the first real time this year that Phoenix has faced hardship and I think he is just lashing out.

It's nice for LA and I respect them but I'd rather see them lose. I just don't like Carter and Richards one bit and I'd love to see them lose.

Tortorella's latest press conference: 6 questions asked, 36 words given as answers.

And the sad part is, he was being generous. He could have shortened it to 28 at least.

I love his press conferences.

Tortorella is such a jackass. Fun, happy-go-lucky when they win, a complete ********* when they lose.

Have some class, pal. You're only a multi-millionaire coaching a game.

Well, in his defense, the reporters are idiots, and ask the same stale questions. Until they have the balls to stand up and turn their backs on him when he enters the room, or ONLY ask him nonsense questions like "what did you have for breakfast", this will continue. Why continue to fuel his ego? Stop asking the same dumb hockey questions, that you KNOW he won't answer! If I was in the room, I'd blast him!

Reporter: So John, what'd you have for breakfast this morning?

John (after loss): No

John (after win): Shut the **** up

The reporters should TRY harder to piss him off. He's not going to give you an elaborate answer on what Gaborik did to get benched, we ALL knew that. So why bother asking. Don't ask him one single hockey question, and see how long he sits there. If he blows up and walks out after a "breakfast", and "what car did you drive today" question, so be it. At least YOU got the better of him. And based on what some reporters are tweeting, there may be some sort of backlash brewing....but I honestly think many of those guys are scared to push his buttons.

It's going to be funny if the reporters try anything. It won't effect Torts any. He's already said he's there by contractual obligation, he's not there to have a staring contest with the reporters.

So if they boycott or ask stupid questions, he'll simply get up and leave. Won't change anything and will make the reporters look like jack*****
