he makes 5.2 million a year, that is greater than the present value of all years of child support and alimony. you really overestimate what he owes relative to what he earns in one year. not to mention he has been at this payscale for several years since the divorce. i doubt he is struggling.

Totally overrated!

You think they were great (as a Devil fan), because they won 4-1?
Flyers have no "D" and no "G".

The only reason they won against the Pens was because Fleury sucked and the Pens "D" was lost as well.

And again, Devils were close to play golf after the 1st round.

The only reason why you beat the Sens is because they have a bad defense. The only reason why you beat the Caps is they're soft.

Rangers are overrated.

See how stupid that sounds.

Will they hold their parade in a parking lot?

That's not stupid.
Rangers showed great effort, but they were lucky as well.
You can't say that the Devils were really tested and had tough opponents.

We don't have the same parking lot space as in CAA.

We'll have a parade down Mulberry Street wearing bullet proof vests.

Nope, they did what I expected.
They had tough opponents to beat.
Devils had one soft team in round 1 and in round 2 they played against a team without "D" and "G".
So, if you think they were great, I say they are overrated!

How's that non-sense? That's a perfectly reasonable amount for him to pay. He makes 5.2 million per year, and probably made more at the time the settlement was handed down. That's the equivalent to a guy making 50,000 paying 400 dollars a month for child support. He got off very easy, since that's less than what most have to pay I'm sure.

I agree - paying 12% of your gross salary to the woman feeding, clothing, and reading your kids is getting off pretty light.

He'll have 115 career playoff wins.

36 playoff wins away from Roy ( man is that a magnificent record or what? ).

So, Brodeur should stick around roughly 4-5 more years to break that record.....hey...he might as well go out with EVERY record. Like Favre.

Never going to happen. The Devils would have to win like 3 Cups in a row. Roy will keep that one.

not sure if it was mentioned but i'm pretty sure i remember another article about him getting that lowered as it was proven to be too high or something like that.

Here's my question...

Have any teams won the cup with more Eastern Europeans than the Devils have now?

Ilya Kovalchuk (Russia)
Anton Volchenkov (Russia)
Dainius Zubrus (Lithuania)
Alexei Ponikarovsky (Ukraine)
Marek Zidlicky (Czech Republic)
Patrik Elias (Czech Republic)
Petr Sykora (Czech Republic)

Funny, when he was in game 7 against Florida the commentators were saying this could be the last we see of him

Honestly, if he wins a cup, he really should go out on top like that. His play has fallen, would be much better to go out like this than flop next year.
