Will LA break the Oilers Record?
By winning the cup in less than 18 games? I think they will. They are absolutely rolling over every team. Vancouver and St.Louis were better than any team left in the playoffs and they got slaughtered. Phoenix also looked out of LA's league in game 1.

Not a chance. The Kings are rolling but if they are lucky enough to go all the way, there will be some bumps in the road.

Less than 18 means 16 or 17. 17 is losing only 1 game, which they've already done (Game 4 vs VAN), so they'd need to sweep the WCF and the SCF. That's quite unlikely, so, no, they probably won't break the record even if they do win the Cup.

I seriously doubt it, but Kings fans can hope. Going through the playoffs 16-2 is an extremely tall order and that only ties the record.

It's too early to assume they're even going to win the Cup, much less speculate about how they'd do it.

The odds have to be against them, but regardless, starting the postseason 9-1 against the Top 3 seeds in the West is remarkable.

Way too early to tell. What I do find amazing is the fact that they're still undefeated on the road in the playoffs.

I think they will walk by the dogs in 5

i think it is crazy talk just even talking about breaking stanley cup records after 1 game in the 3rd round.

Yeah I think they'll lose a couple games against Phoenix, don't know how they'll do vs. the Eastern winner.
