So you're saying that the Kings have three players more valuable than any player in the EC?

Edit: My bad, you were not referring to Mike Richards

Brown

10 GP, 7 goals, 6 assists, +11!

Wtf on that +11.

Quick has been amazing, but it's not like he is carrying the entire team, the Kings have quite a group playing in front of him and have rarely been outplayed all playoffs long.

Selective memory? You mean the Hart, which is comparable to the Conn Smythe? The Vezina has next to nothing to do with how much your team is scoring (as has been proven by previous years), the Hart does. I haven't seen any Rangers fans discrediting Quick in the Hart race, they've seen Lundqvist do what Quick did this season, all his career before this year, with substantially worse teams.

Now, when the roles are reversed, it's apparently a double standard in here, but for Quick. Now that he's netminding behind one of the most offensively - and defensively - successful teams in the entire playoffs, he's apparently still the MVP to some, even though the Kings have a number of players who are eligible for the Conn Smythe (like Brown and Kopitar) and that Quick hasn't really had to make that large number of quality saves. Smith and Lundqvist have.

Quick. Couldn't go wrong with Brown or Mike Smith either.

I did not make the original comment/ranking but I think 2 and I have no problem with 3. Things don't have to be even just because it makes some feel good

The East get going tonight, that (hopefully) will change things.

It is just an opinion

Brown and it's not even close. The guy has been a beast. Every time he steps on the ice, he's been a threat to score, set up Kopitar/Williams, or demolish someone with a big hit and is good defensively.

Then again Smith is stopping more potential goals-against per night than anyone ... more than 37. Capable of -- and has been -- saving the game on EVERY shot against.

I went with Brown (of course) but after seeing mike smith play last night hes right up there along with jonathan quick.

Brown has been our most consistent player game in and game out since the trade deadline not to mention how amazing hes been in these playoffs.

As a Preds fan, there's no other choice than Smith.

Quick has been great all playoffs.

But Brown has been on another level. He's out of this world right now.

Smith would also be a very strong candidate.

Brown gets my vote

This is pretty fluid but as of this moment, it has to be Mike Smith.

King Henrik. If it werent for his godlike play the Rags impotent offense of 2GPG would have had them out first round.

While I think that Smith is the obvious choice right now, it is only because I think the 2 Kings split the vote. The best evidence of how good Dustin Brown has been is the fact that so many people are picking him over Quick, who has been lights out.

Anze Kopitar has been better or more important then Quick also. He could probably be considered equal to Brown but Brown hits more.

My guess is that most people voting for Quick are doing it on reputation or name value alone. They have been told that Quick is the Kings so they just stick with it.

Maybe we will get to see someone explode in the game tonight. I am interested if they just pick up the intensity.

early on in the playoffs, i would have said quick. But now as the playoffs is going on, I have to give it to brown and i think most kings fans would agree with me on this. Brown has come up with big goal after big goal and is hitting everybody in sight. He is playing like a leader and without him, I dont think the kings would be where there are now without him

Dustin Brown, LA has only lost one game and he's been their best player.

Agreed. If it wasn't for Smith, I think that Phoenix would've been golfing after the Chicago series.
