Selecting songs can be really tricky. There's many songs (even rock songs) that I like that doesn't make for good montages. There's so many things to consider.
a) The tempo. If the tempo is high, you should have many short clips, in this case I didn't have enough clips to choose a song like that. Songs that changes tempo a lot are usually perfect for montages.
b) The length. If it's too long, you may end up having clips in the video that are in bad quality, or too many goals that are nothing special. Finding short songs can be a challenge, but many songs have fake endings or other parts when you can fade it out or edit it (as I did in this one).
c) Will the video be flat without commentators if I use this song? I feel my Vrbata montage should have had commentators in the verses.
d) Youtube. Will they block the sound?
The last one can really be a pain in the ass. Glad you guys liked the music, because a friend didn't.
As for Loui Erikssons Foppa-move, it was really the only move I cound find him doing whenever on a 1 on 1 with the goaltender (other times he would just shoot). Except for that first penalty shot against the Caps, Erik Christensen uses that one a lot.
