I like upsets, if they're not against CZE. And it would definitely be an upset if Italy survived in the elite...

Latvia, please let us win, that is all, you can't send us to relegation in all three WCs in one year.

I do NOT want us to play for survival against Norway, so a victory would be nice

Gotta get back to basic. Keep the puck out of the net at all cost. Shoot when you have the chance and hope Madsen/Hardt/Hansen can make something happen infront of the net.

0-0,0-0,0-0,0-1 would bother me one bit. JUST WIN!

Go Denmark!

That's why our group had Italy so Denmark could survive in the top elite, should have used it. Now Denmark is going to do its best in this game and this will be probably a tough and close game.

This would be if Latvia were to lose this game, at least by winning we would preserve some respect, especially if we don't make the QF. (which we most likely won't reach)

Denmark is a good team, they just have been a bit unfortunate. You did deserve the victory against Germany. You'll take Latvia for sure, because the game matters more to you than it does to Latvia. You just don't belong in the B-group.

I believe Latvia will win this one.
But my heart tells me otherwise.

I want QF, and I want Denmark to stay in the WC.

Why? I'm a Norwegian myself and a hockey fan. I remember when Norway qualified for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics after beating Denmark, and they didn't make it. There was a lot of dirt about Norway in Danish media, to put it that way.

So let's send them down where they belong. Denmark and winter sports don't mix anyway

12-4 and here we go! The victories and good performances is going to your heads!

There was NO dirt about Norway after that game? The only time the medias in Denmark pay attention is when Denmark and Norway play football! Then there is allot of dirt, but that is from both sides.

But fair anough you want us down! Just dont say where we belong, because you know that aint true!

Well fortunately Danish media are not the danish people.......they want to fire up aggressive attitude to sell newspapers and so idiots might fall for it.
I don't have any animosity against Norway, but we still hate loosing to close relatives
But it seem that everytime we try something in wintersport, it ends up with Norway and Sweden laughing........going down in hockey leaves only Curling left for Denmark and that is not what you can call high-prestige

Both teams are sympathetic, but since I REALLY
hope DEN stays in the A-pool and NOR goes to QF
---> DEN 3 - 2 LAT (OT)

As I'm taking a road trip by bike from Brussels
to Finland next week, I promise to stay in Riga
at least one night for some beers on the terraces
around the Old Town square, if DEN can secure
their stay in the A-pool today.

Although Riga is such a fun city I'll probably
stay there anyways

I guess I have to come back the other way
and stay in Copenhagen on my way back

True.

As I wrote, all these teams are sympathetic in my eyes, so if it is
possible I wish all the best for each one.

If they loose against Latvia....I don't think they stand any chance against Norway - they will be utterly shattered mentally and will probably to blown out by the norwegians in the first minutes. Danish teams in all sports either roll up or roll down. If they beat Latvia I think they get the confidence against Norway to have a chance.

Or maybe an option thats beneficial to both Latvians and Danes- denmark loses to latvia but get really really angry and wins norway.

Well. That result would be expected.

Hopefully Denmark wins today. Italy won't win the last game regardless. It would be bad to send the danish packing for division 1 if Norway should beat them in the last game of the group stage. Denmark's got a several young players who needs to get ice-time on this level.

As long as Norway gets automatic place for the Olympics

I believe and hope Denmark will win this one. I do not want Denmark to go down, I remember when we were down in the B group and it is not a nice place to be. It is a lot easier to avoid relegation than it is to win promotion. We spent 4 seasons down there at the start of the century and that was a brutal time for Norwegian hockey.

I also think that a good Danish hockey program is beneficial for Norwegian hockey. If you guys go down it will probably affect the whole program when it comes to funding and support from the sports community and sponsors as it did for us. This will mainly affect your junior teams and Norway needs Denmark as a strong measuring stick in friendly games and cooperation partner to exchange ideas and so on. I for one would like this collaberation to extend to club hockey as well as I think we should work together to try and make our leagues as strong as Allsvenskan and EBEL but that is another debate.

This is probably easier to do with Denmark than say Italy or Latvia because we are so close both in distance and in many ways culture and language. I know we are supposed to be rivals and everything, but I always cheer for Denmark when you play someone else than us and always keep an extra eye on your NHL-guys. And Denmark is a great rival to have when it comes to media because of our history, proximity and because its always close games.

So with all my hart I say good luck and Heia Danmark.

I think most major cities have some dodgy suburbs with gangs and some more exclusive for the rich (funny enough the rich mostly live in the north and the bad ones lie in the south - perhaps a bit like grasseating mammals that actually distribute themselves acording to the magnetic poles as it has been spotted from satillite!).
I think Tallinn actually had the world record of murders some years ago when the russian mafias fought for control over the russian steal-trade through the Baltic to the west??
Maybe they moved some of it past Riga??

Staying away from any suburb would be fine. No need to risk finding good ones.
