Knowing what we know now...

Rank the playoff teams in the East 1-8.

I am not going to myself because I am interested to see what everyone here thinks, but I will say that I think the Capitals are EASILY top 3. They are so good man, and if they beat us, I really think this could have been their year. They are going to be scary good next year. Hunter is their Torts sans the post game pressers. Lockdown playoff defense with 3 guys who are scary good with the puck and can score every time they hit the ice (Backstrom, Semin, and of course number 8.) They would have won that division if not for the horrible start they got off to. Wonder how Coach Bruce feels about that lol.

1/2 - Rangers/Devils (whoever wins the series is obviously the best team of the east)
3/4 - Capitals/Flyers
5 to 8 - the other 4 teams.

Of course the capitals rank #3, they're better then the flyers and they made it to the semi-finals.

I really think they are the second best team in this conference.

There's only 7 teams this year, as I refuse to acknowledge teams with a GAA higher than room temperature.

They're not, because they didn't make the ECF.

That's the only thing that matters.

Not to take anything away from the Capitals but I think we made them look better than they actually are. They're so similar to us, but they don't have Hank...and we didn't exploit that advantage as much as we should have.

Unfortunately the way we play, and the fact that we rarely get that two goal lead, makes the other teams look bettern than they actually are...even when we are beating them. The Caps are so similar to us, but they don't have Hank...and we didn't exploit that advantage as much as we should have.

the Rangers have been accused of making teams look better than they are all season long.

thats how we win games.

were not an offensive team. our gameplan is to TRY to keep games close. When you play good teams, youre going to lose some games. you could say with 100% sincerity that the Rangers could have, and probably should have won every single game of this series except for maybe game 6....which they still only lost by 1 goal.
