I find it hilarious that both Rangers and Devils fans are entertained by this imagery.

LOL at the post in the last thread suggesting a fight between Gionta and Zuccarello.

Would instantly be the greatest thing of all time.

Avery isn't on his couch.

He's bartending 40 blocks south of the Garden. Even better.

Well Zucc does possess the one ring to rule them all. Never knew that Frodo was from Norway.

Hank would challenge Marty to a duel after he takes off those white gloves he has under his blocker and trapper.

Hopefully Hank isn't as bad at fighting as he is playing the puck. Vice versa with Marty.

Is it possible to have a non-trolling Ranger/Devil Thread? Let's try...

As a Ranger fan I think this series will either be a classic with each team having a 50/50 shot in a game 7 or the Devils will win in 5.

Callahan has a broken finger, Boyle is coming off a concussion and I think is still not himself. McD is clearly hurt- no Dubinsky or Mats Z to help with the PP...with no Sauer and Bickel playing 5 min. a game, the D is tired.

I know some of the Devs are hurting as well, but with a lot of time off and no where near the physical beating the Rangers took from Ott and Was...I just have a feeling it will be a quick death or a long, brutal fight to the finish.

With few of the Devil's fighters dressing, I don't expect as much nastiness as some might expect.

Its' going 6 or 7 at minimum because of Lundqvist. Best player in the series. Devils have better team top to bottom, but Henrik didn't get his King moniker because he's a sieve.

Series is on Lundqvists shoulders. Devils have more talent, Rangers play a "easier" system. If the Devils can average 3 gpg, theyll win the series.

I think you're the first Rangers fan I've seen admit this. I saw someone else insist that McDonagh, Staal, and Girardi can go on playing 25+ minutes a night indefinitely while blocking shots and getting hit by a withering forecheck. I don't buy it, something has to give.

As for the Devils' injuries, the team says everyone is healthy except Josefson, and they're in no rush to get him back, because the fourth line has been excellent so far. However, Devils fans suspect that Volchenkov has either a concussion or some kind of lower body injury, Zidlicky has either a wrist or back injury, and Kovalchuk is confirmed to have a herniated disk in his back. Clarkson is also definitely battling through something, and Salvador may still have a wrist injury he picked up in the Florida series.

No. Drank too much for that today.

Where are your goals coming from? Devils have more scoring depth, on 4 lines.

The Rangers are blocking shots and scoring goals by loading up in the crease. Half the time they score its borderline reviewable.

If he just meant offensively then yea, it's pretty clear, but overall, I'd say it's a wash.

Doesn't change the fact that we've had a better offense than you all season (even playing a more defensive system), we have 3 defensemen that are better than any of yours, and we have the advantage in net. Not to mention Brodeur is one of the few goalies in the league we've regularly been known to get to. Rangers have had Marty's number. Just look at the Lundqvist vs Marty career record.

On paper, it's really not close. The Rangers have been better offensively, defensively, and in goal all season. Games aren't played on paper though and this is Rangers/Devils in the ECF. Plus you guys are currently hot. Anything can happen. I just don't understand how you can claim you have more talent. Every metric this season suggests otherwise.

The Devils played 2 more games this postseason than the Rangers.

But I guess they're battered and beaten down!

Torts is very strict on conditioning and has a camp set up at the beginning of the year. I don't think there are very noticeable injuries on defense since none of them have struggled despite playing the minutes.

All top 4 defenders have played these minutes all year long, playoffs are no different.

I'd argue that Callahan is playing injured/tired since he leads the playoffs in TOI amongst forwards. That's pretty big of a burden to ask of him. His play hasn't been the same either. Very concerned about him.

Didn't show on the score sheet this season, even with you guys playing a more offensive system than us.
