Jim loves this team now - he's got no time for personal vendettas. Made it past the 2nd round in manly fashion with solid hockey fundamentals. He's all-in.
A hero against the Rangers gets/deserves instant and forever love. Always! It is written on page 2 of “How to be Devils Fan Guide Book” published in 1982.

We can only hope. I am so cautious about this series.
He was probably talking about the lower levels closer to the glass and benches. Trust me. I was at game 5 1997 playoffs and it was saturated with blue.
There is a reason that helped that along - not sure how many people realize it. In 1980 when the Brendan Byrne was being built the Rangers threatened to move their if MSG didn't agree to improvements. Obviously MSG did but a ton of Ranger fans put their names in for prospective season tickets if the Rangers moved there. When the Devils came in 82 - these were the first people the Devils called. I know this because an ex co worker of mine has front row seats on the glass still to this day in Newark because of this exact situation. he sells almost every game but Devil Ranger games. So on the lower level you will see more blue because of some holdovers for tickets.
Like i said earlier you fire the first few shots high on those D and they wont be so eager to jump in front of them. Lets see how they do with a Kovy one timer up around chest/chin level.
I believe Kovy did injure a couple of them with his shot during the season. They might think twice about blocking his blasts.
And Kovy's bread and butter has always been the high glove snipe. Hopefully he can abuse Lundqvist's one weakness.
