KK will not return to Bingo

I just heard Lee Versage state that Joy Lindsay tweeted that KK will not be back this upcoming season. I can't access twitter as I'm at work or i'd paste it in here. What is going on? What is the reason for him leaving? Potential candidates?

Lack of possibility for advancement combined with the lack of support from the front office.

This is terrible news, I just saw it on Twitter myself. Good luck to KK, wish he was coming back.

I was afaraid of this. The Sens were filed with players who he developed at Bingo this year.

After his meeting with Murray about the time he was talking about the poisonous
atmosphere down there it was reported that he seemed dejected when he left the meeting.

No! This can't be happening!

The world isn't worth living in anymore.

That sucks! I don't think we'll find a better coach to develop our prospects than KK

They probably want a coach that is more similar in style to Maclean - and someone who will treat Lehner like a #1 Goalie and not a guy who is just fighting for the net.

Joy tweeted:

#BSens Coach Kurt Kleinendorst has confirmed he will not return next season. He has no further comment at this time. #BSens
...and, per Garrioch,

I'm told Kurt Kleinendorst turned down more than one offer of a contract extension from #Sens last season. #BSens
Horrible news for the B-Sens. You'd have to think Stirling is next in line if he wants it. Wish nothing but the best for coach KK... maybe a job in the NHL is in the cards.

Lehner is a number 1. He's shown it by winning the cup in the A and in the few games he played in Ottawa.

The problem I found last year is as soon as Lehner had a bad game, he would put McKenna in the net, instead of giving Lehner the chance to get into a groove and play like a number 1.

Lots of accolades for the Sens turn around this year, but so much of that was thanks to KK.

I hope he gets a job in the NHL.

Except that in the reports, KK turned down a few contract offers that we offered him.

It's pretty obvious that this was Kurt's decision, because of either no possibility for advancement or otherwise.

i think it was this. there was nowhere for him to go in our organization at least for a while. too bad we didn't offer him an assistant coach position at the big club last year. he might have been expecting it.

I'm not sure an assistant coaching position in the NHL is really a promotion rather than a lateral move from HC in the AHL.

You get better travel arrangements (plane vs. bus) sure, but you have less responsibility, and I don't think the pay is that different.

And when you look at people hired for head coaching positions in the NHL, they are usually HC elsewhere (whether CHL or AHL) rather than assistant coaches in the NHL.

What a joke.. a coach version of Filatov. Enjoying motivating a bunch of washed up hockey goons in the coldest corners of Sibera, Kurt.
