Seriously that top 10 is like my nightmare scenario, though. If all of those players are gone at 11, I'll be sad as duck. If even a single one is available, I'll take them.

Took Maatta. Least of all evils.

Unless Nash is going I don't foresee CBJ passing up on a center.

Faksa. He's already big, could end up in Ovis weight class.

Please find a way to trade up for Dumba.

It doesn't Maatta! Went with the next Ollie in a Caps uni.

Ceci. Point per game defenseman and he's got good size. I think he's better then Reinhart, Reilly and Dumba.

I really like Faksa. He could end up being a hell of a 2nd line center in a few years. I'd be happy with him or Ceci at the real draft though.

I think Faksa is arguably BPA and best matches the Caps organizational needs.

Heheh.

Trust me, in the real draft we won't be getting him either.

If Washington is looking for Dmen, they are gonna have 2 great options in Ceci and Maatta IMO.

Ceci in the available list was right behind Faksa for me.

It's pretty much how I'd expect it to play out short of Grigorenko signing with CSKA and crippling his draft stock. Maybe there's an outside chance Carolina takes Faksa over Teravainen or one of Ceci/Maatta jumps one of the other D.

Otherwise, whichever of Faksa or Maatta they're higher on seems to be the conservative decision they'll have to make. If they think Faksa has legit scoring-line upside then that's the direction I'd lean towards.

I like Faksa size/centerman if thats how the top 10 goes and hes still around I'd pick him over a D at the moment.

I mean really, is MJ going to be the Caps center that will be a big 1 - 2 punch along with backstrom? Size down the middle is nice. How is he defensively, if anyone has watched him? I'll admit I've never watched him, and basing him off stats. How is he defensively? two-way type player with 60 point potential?

Faksa the possibility of him turning into a 2C is far more appealing then taking a Dman here especially with another pick within the next 5

Faksa or Ceci seems the logical choice. I might be inclined to go Ceci , as Gaunce, Sissons, Gergensons, or Matteau will likely be available at 16.

According to some Ceci maybe available at 16.

Though if GMGM picks Ceci, I'd be happy because it could be a Green/Carlson/Orlov like instinct from GMGM.

I just don't know Why Ceci is so low though especially when you look at Dumba.

Faksa, I believe he's the most complete center available.

Faksa is not an exciting pick, but he is a safe one and he projects to be a useful player. Gets my vote here. Ready to potentially go more off the board at #16.
