I know he's not a Bruins prospect, but I was surfing through HockeyDB and saw that Ryan Murphy only has 1 assist in 8 games this season. Anyone able to shed any light on what's wrong with him so far?

This guy played great in his first Nort American game against the monarchs. He faced a ton of shots and kept the baby b's in the game, also he had a couple of amazing saves.

Looks like he was stellar again tonight. We potentially have some amazing depth/trade chips at the goaltender position at some point down the road.
Cody Payne with 2 goals tonight now has 8 goals and 13 points in 11 games. I've never seen him play but he has great size and apparently is quite tough. His early season point totals have me intrigued with this 5th rounder.

I saw him in London a couple weeks ago and was thoroughly impressed, only ended up with an assist but could have easily scored a couple including a sweet tip off the crossbar/post. I also watched Camara for most of a game for the first time last night on TV and was really impressed, he was all over the place, only got the one goal but got stopped on a breakaway and had another open net which he couldn't quite get his stick on. Payne went head to head with Leafs first rounder Biggs (Burke gave the Bruins first and another top 40 pick to move up and get) tonight and Payne won the battle, Biggs was -3, not sure about the offense with that kid, six goals but two empty netters and lots of minutes with Jenner who's dominate in junior.
cody payne definitely seems like a steal. great forechecking to get the steal and the GWG for Plymouth. the caps might be thinking they took the wrong power forward whaler in the first round when they took tom wilson (2 G 8 A), and payne was had in the 5th(8 G 5 A) i see payne and camara on the Merlot in a few years. and payne might have 3rd line upside.
Alex Khoklachev is really struggling, only one goal and one assist in 19 games. He's playing on a team that absolutely can not score, they only 42 goals in 19 games. One guy on the entire team has a PPG above 0.5, Stefan Ruzicka who played a bit in the NHL has 11 points which gives him a two point lead on the rest of the team. I don't know how this year affects Khoklachev's development, it's not unusual for teenagers to play entire seasons in Europe with almost no points, look at Sebastian Collberg who has been called a steal to the Habs and his production. Khoklachev could be in Windsor playing with Rychel and Ho-Sang who are really starting to find chemistry lately and be putting up big numbers in a North American style league.

Khoklachev is fine where he is. He put up pretty big numbers the last two years. He needs a challenge more than he needs a confidence boost at this point. Plus, he'll have an opportunity to shine at the WJC's.

I can see both sides, I think the OHL still has a challenge to offer him, very few teenagers a year reach a level where they're above the challenge of junior hockey IMO (Hamilton is probably one) but playing in a very night level pro league has to be teaching him things as well. In a related note he's playing in the Subway series and will tour Canada with Team Russia playing all star teams from the three CHL leagues.
just as a broad overview of hamiltons play so far. He hasn't been lighting up the score sheet quite like he did last year. But in the limited viewings i have had of him, he seems less inclined to jump up in the play on offense and is perhaps playing more of a "pro" game. He picks his spots and i think its making him a more complete responsible defensemen. He still makes some careless mistakes in his own zone but isnt caught in the offensive zone in transition as often. Curious if this was a message from chia/claude going into the year.
Interesting that Hall isn't playing the same game as Scheifele and Camara
I believe they are under-20 teams so as an OA (20 year old) Hall is ineligible.
Ryan Rupert has no business on the team, two assists his last nine games and without a goal all year. Made it over the likes of Cameron Brace who has ten goals and one less assist (six for Brace) total.

Pretty sure he's on the roster for the 1st game and not the second which Camara and Scheifele are playing.
