The Rangers are too unselfish. Need to shoot the puck.

good thing Brodeur only has his brainfarts when the rangers 4th line is on the ice not someone with actual hockey talent.

Also, 30 secs before the end of the 2nd was when I first noticed that richards was playing, good on the devils.

Nothing other than the fact that the entire game has been in our zone

This could be a long night the way it's going, or we'll have a real fluky goal.

But it goes to show the Devils haven't done anything even with all that puck possession

They're being outplayed so far.

MSG is terrible for television, there's just something that throws me off.

And unfortunately for the Devils, when you shoot ****** shots against Lundqvist he doesn't let them go through like Bryzgalov. The Devils have to get out of the mindset of just throwing **** at the Rangers D and Lundqvist. They will block them, and the ones they don't block will be saved by Lundqvist. Carefully handling the puck and getting high quality shots is the only way they are going to score.

Not a fair assessment considering Brodeur's out of his prime. Would have been a real treat to impatient hockey fans who despise low-scoring games if he was though.

I think he's the best goatlender in NHL history. But Henrik has outright owned him since his debut. If somebody wants to stroke their ego and suggest henrik doesn't make saves, then a quick glance at his performance against the best should be the slap in the face they need to admit the obvious.

It's not gonna last though. How many saves can Lundqvist make through 10 screens?

And people were saying that the LA-Phoenix series would be low-scoring.

I thought the Rangers had the edge in the first, despite what these ridiculous NBCSC analysts had to say during the intermission.

The Devils pretty clearly took control in the second. As others have said, the Rangers definitely look a little tired.

Can only hope that the fatigue is temporary and that these guys can recover and be fully ready by Saturday. The third period should highlight the Rangers fatigue even more if it's real.

I don't care. I watched the game, and the Devils have been the better team so far. It doesn't really mean much right now because both teams have equal chance of winning, but that's just my opinion.

Feel free to stick to statistics and disagree with me.

Something I've been noticing for a while:
Adam Henrique looks MUCH older than 22 (or whatever he is).

He takes up 80% of the net, literally. He's made a HOF NHL career (assuming he stays healthy) doing it.

He hasn't really had to make saves with all those shots blocked.

Devils forecheck is dictating the game. Rangers are on their heels. Stats are usually misleading..

Did any of you watch any games this playoffs? What were you expecting a 5 - 3 score in this game?

The camera is set further back, which is terribly annoying. Half the screen is the crowd.

Also the lighting is something people complain about, but I don't mind that.

Chicago is pretty dimly lit, but I think MSG is worse as well.

When the Rangers are playing, I don't really expect much... more than 3 goals would be a blessing.

Devils and Rangers fans are arguing as to whose team is doing worse right now.

Rangers fans: "Devils are dictating game."

Devils fans: "Yeah but Hank is really good!"
