no one who isn't dirt poor lives in detroit. everyone with money lives north of 8 mile, and that's where suter would live too. north of detroit isn't bad at all, and that's where all the athletes live.

Basically, Pavelski, Thornton, and Marleau kick ass. Murray SUUUUUCKS, and Vlasic and Burns need to be put back together. I may sound like a broken record, but those two absolutely kicked ASS when they were together at the beginning of last season. They had two of the best raw Corsi's in the entire league, despite playing pretty hard minutes.

It didn't really tell me anything I didn't know about the Sharks, but it was a great read in regards to other teams/players.

Why would we do that, when Malkin and Letang are UFA the same season as Thornton, Marleau, Boyle, and Pavelski?

Here I was hoping it was the ghost of Cheechoo.

But while we're entertaining outlandish Suter fantasies, what if DW can convince Crosby that to further his career, he needs to come to CA like the Great One did?

2 Conclusions:

1. I always knew the Sedins were waaay sheltered by AV, and that Kesler's line took all the hard minutes/defensive zone draws and wore the big boy pants. This only proves it.

2. Pavs, Marleau and Jumbo are boss.

Reportedly he's a farm boy and suburbs (like Bloomfield Hills in MI) might not be his cup of tea. He also doesn't want to play under any unnecessary pressure (replacing a certain legend in Detroit might be something similar), he wants to be close to his family and big market cities, eastern conf cities and Canada are supposedly out of the question.

Ahh, the Michalek-Marleau-Bernier line. How I miss them. All 3 had size, 2 were absolute burners, and for a bit there Bernier looked like he might just be a fantastic power-forward RW.

i think the best move the marleau and the sharks, would be to put him at #2 center. Put Couture to his left, and Havlat on his right.

Couture plays better, on the left side, and Marleau is much more able to face the top centers.

Trade Clowe to Toronto for Kulemin + Colbourne

Sign David Jones, Aaron Asham, Jordin Tootoo, Brad Stuart, Tomas Vokoun, Matt Carle

Trade Murray for a late 1st/ early 2nd

Trade Niemi for #19 (Tampa)

Kulemin-Thornton-Jones
Couture-Marleau-Havlat
Galliardi-Pavelski-Moore
Winnik-Desjardins-Asham
Tootoo

Vlasic-Burns
Braun-Boyle
Carle-Stuart
Demers

Vokoun
Greiss

Draft Gaunce at 17, Finn at 19
Trade Murrays return pick and #55 for a late 1st

Select Tom Wilson

There are so many issues with this, IMO, I don't know where to start.

Stuart is probably going to get at least $3 mil. Carle is probably going to get at least $3.5, more likely $4 mil plus. I have no idea why you would want to put $7 mil in the bottom pairing. Also, it's highly unlikely that Carle is going to sign with the Sharks to play bottom pairing. I honestly would be surprised if he was willing to sign with the Sharks at all after the way DW shipped him out. But in the end, if you get Carle somehow, you don't get Stuart as well. And presumably, if you get Carle, you are shipping Boyle out. Also, I'm pretty sure Carle plays right-side, doesn't he? And lastly, he's probably going to sign in Minnesota (my best guess).

Next, if the Sharks ship out Niemi, why spend another $3 mil or so in Vokoun? Vokoun took a major discount contract, and I don't think he's going to sign for a million again. Besides, if they move Niemi, it's to play Stalock or Sexsmith behind Greiss.

Next, Tootoo is probably re-signing in Nashville. If not there, you have to think he's going north to Canada. A team like Edmonton would LOVE to have guy like Tootoo. Winnipeg might also be a destination.

Next, Niemi is a decent starter. But you aren't getting a first for him. You're probably looking a 3rd and maybe a decent grade B or C prospect.

Lastly, I thought most TO fans thought that Kulimen for Clowe straight up was a no go, but you expect to get Colbourne too?

So why is everyone putting Jones on their rosters? Have there been any rumors that this is a strong possibility a la Stuart, or is this just wishful thinking? Also, not to familiar with him as a player, can someone describe his game?

Yeah, I'd say Tootoo plays for either Nashville or Winnipeg next season.
