I just see way too much Malkin in grigs. Also Galchenyuks injury is very worrysome. I know Cowen was injured when we drafted him but jeez its frightening for any fan to see such a high pick wasted in a Havlat esque high skill high injury type player.

Ugh. Can't decide between Maata and Lindholm.

Went against the grain (and against my first instinct) with Lindholm.

Olli Maata without question the guy is going to be a stud.. he's already transitioned to the NA style of hockey so well.. I think that will continue in the NHL.

I find it interesting that the only two players we are considering (I know it's early, but reading the discussions we've been having on this board, and the players still available in this mock draft, I'm willing to put money on these two being the only players Sens fans on this board will be seriously considering) are almost polar opposites in terms of play style.

Maata is the polished all around defender who isn't a great skater, while Lindholm is the brilliant skater that is remarkably raw in his skillset and decision making.

I'd say Maata. The guy has really sold me on his play over the last month.

lol

i picked Maatta but mainly because i've seen maatta play and the way guys like Rundblad transition to our ice and pace it just seems like a safer pic going with a player i know has had success here and was a crazy playoff performer.

Give me Koekkoek. Has the most upside of any of the defenders left.

Don't want Maatta.

This is basically the worst case scenario, having those 14 off the board at our pick.

there's still decent defensemen Bystrom is one that should go high and isn't even on that list.

Määttä

Murray is going to obtain either an additional 1st, or a 2nd round pick IMO.

Crazy prediction:

Ottawa ends up with 2 of the following:

-Ceci
-Määttä
-Lindholm
-Bystrom
-Finn
-Koekkoek
-Pouliot
-Thrower

We then go on to brag about how we have very little holes in our prospect chart.
