Tiebreaker is current match. If there will be tie in the end, Slovakia comes 4th because of scores differential.

Uhm....doesn't France have less points? So tie is 4th place for Slovakia and lose is 4th place for France, right? Because of mutual match...

Slovakia 12 points 16:9
France 9 points 17:27
If France win, they will have 12 points. Because of mutual match, they are goin' further.
If there is a tie, further goes Slovakia (I was wrong in my previous post, sorry, I'm writing and thinking fast, while I'm at work).
So France HAS to win in regular time.

Wow, after winning over Kazachstan, the Swiss, USA and Belarus, Slovakia still has to fight for the last 1/4 spot - with France.
Never would have thought this was possible.

This game also has Olympic ramifications. A single point from SVK and they qualify for the 2014 games in Sochi. This was the reason given by several players, including the captain, for joining the team.

What a breakaway....and first penalty. France is dangerous on PP.
Kopecky scores on his former teammate from Chicago.

Who is Da Costa? He was probably the best forward in every game I've watched France in this WC.
France plays very bold game.
EDIT? Haven't I said it right now? Beuty by him.

Stephane is an Ottawa prospect. Undrafted, he played a few games with the Sens this year, but was mostly in the AHL.
Edit: Stephane's brother Teddy scores!

What I really like is that we don't just play D, like we used to. We're able to generate some offense.
