As for Slovakia, so typical. They just can´t play as the favorites... but in the end luck was on their side in the end and in the QF they will be in the position they are comfortable in - underdogs....

What ? You will be third if USA loose against Swiss. A USA win is more likely to happen than a loss.

It's certainly possible. Swiss win over USA wouldn't be a miracle.

anything can happen...did you expected that France will be playing for QF spot in their last game? this year we have seen tons of surpises so i wouldnt mind another one

btw great performance by France...i believe that SVK made deal with France...they let them play close game to made them national heroes but in the end SVK will won

BTW You has to like Chára and his attitude, when he's captain of your team. Moderator asked him something like this: "Zdeno, what did you feel, when France tied the game in the third period?" Chára answered: "I just enjoyed these tough moments...". He's real leader.

I don't know who would be a better opponent for SVK. Finland is at home, and they have a very nice record against SVK. Canada is Canada but they could theoretically be without Methot (D), Schenn (D), and Vlasic (D). They would be forced to rely more on guys like Ryan Murray.

Canada is not in the best shape and decimated. Suomi is underachieving horrendously and is under pressure of home ice. Just for the case: we beat USA.
