We don't have a good goalie in the system...so trading Crawford for someone Thomas's age just wouldn't make any sense. And to be honest, I think while we need to upgrade at goal if we were to get a big impact player it would be better to try to get a D like Suter.
We have a lot of okay prospects and bottom six forwards if you have any interest in those to swing some sort of trade.
Somebody asked Chiarelli during his presser after the trade deadline if he'd considered trading Hamilton. I don't have a screen grab of his reaction, but it was something like this:
No!
Change Hamilton to Krug and that would open a better Discussion.
That discussion would last 2 seconds and end in a dial tone. Patrick Kane is a game changer. To get him you'd have to give. Krug is as close to worthless as you're gonna get, no offense to the kid. He's a throw in in an NHL trade at this point in his career.
I'd be willing to offer Thomas and Krejci for Kane and Hjalmarsson. We'd have to throw in a little something else, but I'd look at a package like that. And of course, that's IF the Bruins were inclined to move TT.
Kane, 23-43-66, an alcoholic and clearly trending downward...Krejci goes 23-39-62 and he's being railed on for having a horrible season....Kane also posted a gooseegg in the goal dept for the play-offs...but we want him here.

Appears the kid has some issues. You can say it hasn't hurt his play yet. Stats say different. Kid is burning the candle at both ends. With that body..or lack of...He's not going to be a dominant player too much longer with his lifestyle. Look at these numbers since his great 2010 season.

I see a blatant downard trend to be honest....less productive all around.
Dude has 1 goal in 13 play-off games, and we get on our guys here LOL...
No, Thomas for Kane or Sharp maybe, but why would we trade our best defensive prospect looking like a can't miss for an undersized, underwhleming forward?
Ee have enough of those.
Just don't see how it improves the team.

Wow!
Kane is a pretty busy guy if you believe all those stories (I take a lot of it with a grain of salt).
When I drink too much, I usually just get sleepy, but Kane turns into a Gremlin apparently. Most impressive thing about the stories was that he was still able to "perform" that night after being black out drunk earlier in the evening.

A little unfair considering the talent depletion that occurred on that team from the Cup season. I understand his linemates may not have changed a ton, but it became that much easier to defend him when his team lost all those players. I don't think there's anything at all to his stat line.
That isn't to say he isn't a drunk and he might be the last guy you'd bring on to a team with Marchand and Seguin. I wouldn't argue with that viewpoint. But he's still a terrific player and I'd take him over Krejci any day of the week.
Why would we move Hamilton? Are biggest weakness is a puck moving defensman, and a PP specialist. Hamiltion is that and more. Now if we move both for Kane and say Keith or Seabrook, maybe.
I don't care if Kane had a down season. I would love him here. I also don't care that he didn't score in the playoffs. That happens to plenty of guys.
I don't see it ever happening but he'd instantly become our biggest scoring threat if we got him.
He is? Seguin, Marchand and Lucic outscored him this year.
He started his career with a bang, absolutely, but he hasn't been living up to his reputation, not just this year, but the last couple of years. He's slipping, in contrast to Seguin and Marchand, who trending upward.

People are all over Krejci for not performing as well when Horton went down, so where is break? He lost his bonafide first line winger....
I actually like Kane, but he resembles a time bomb to me, and *seems* to be trending downward and would cost for more then he is worth IMO. Would seem a natural fit out in LA with the Booze Brothers ... That would actually be an incredible line, Kane-Richards-Carter...

I don't see Lucic or Marchand outscoring him for the next, say, 5 years or so. I think Seguin will soon be better, though. I place little stock in one year. I see a guy whose talent level is extremely high and I believe he will bounce back.
