yup. Thread isnt about how bad the coliseum is nor did i compare them. i didnt realize my teams inability to come to an agreement on a new arena means im arena-ly challenged and dont know the difference btwn good sightlines and poor ones.
For as bad as the Coliseum is in every other aspect, there are really no bad seats.
Why the **** do you want to see the stands so much when you're watching the game? The obsession some people around here with what's going on everywhere but the ice is amazing. The ice is well lit, the stands are not. That's by design. Better question is why do your ****** teams like to light up the stands so much?
MSG isnt that great of an arena...yeah yeah "the worlds most famous", but thats bc its the worlds oldest and in the best city in the world. The lighting and sightlines are horrible in there. Nobody can argue with the playoff atmosphere, but thats not news bc every place goes nuts then. Ill wait til all the renovations are done and check it out again, but ive always felt the main part of a hockey game was being able to see it, and theres a LOT of seats at msg where you miss things.
MSG is only four years older than the Isles' arena. It's only been the oldest in the NHL since the Pens left the Igloo. There's nothing particularly old or historic about it, but the renovations sound like they should spruce things up.
So all the focus is on the ice. I love it. Who the hell wants to see the fans? I want to see the ice.

"I don't even understand what the point of all this arguing is. Are you guys hoping that the other side is going to have an epiphany and go 'Oh, OH! You're right, we ARE going to lose this series!'" -Crease
I feel like we have a thread on this every week. Someone should sticky it.
I don't get the obsession with wanting to see the crowd on tv either. Though I guess when you can have a bunch of posts in the photoshop thread about some girls ****, you want to possibly be able to see the crowd
