Now the Shark Tank, all of it, just looks really poorly lit on TV, to the point where it takes away from watching a game.

The ice is lit like **** also...When I go to MSG the ice looks yellow as opposed to the Rock it looks bright white. I would think they are going to get new lights with the renovation.

I've been at the Garden over 250 times. 50 times on the current ice, and I have no idea what the **** you are talking about

On television the ice does appear yellow at times, but that has more to do with the broadcast than the actual ice.

Maybe I am just used to the light at Prudential Center which are extremely bright. Have you ever been to the Coliseum? To me, the lighting at the Coliseum and MSG are similar.

It's part of our shot blocking conspiracy. The lack of light prevents opposing teams from seeing proper scoring lanes. Whenever they manage to find one despite the lack of light, we have a designated ice ****er upper below the ice who chips away the rangers defensive zone with a chisel to make the puck bounce over their sticks. Installed in every visor that the Rangers wear is night-vision technology that allows us to see the ice perfectly, and whenever we get into the offensive zone, we quickly and secretly swap to a super puck which never bounces over our sticks and sticks to the ice perfectly.

Pretty sure any of you knocking it would jump for joy if your team played there. Do any of you know what the word "charisma" means?

Serious answer: They haven't upgraded the lighting system in Phase I of the remodel, so they're stuck with candles until next year.

don't give him the time of day. The Rock itself is bright white....as in VANILLA. Most boring arena ever.

I've felt a better vibe at a library.

So you're saying that the muscos are focused for the court, and not for the rink? Because the lakers have their own tungsten rig that only lights the court, and all other teams share a traditional HMI rig that lights the ice and the entire arena.

Seems to me that the biggest lighting problem for cameras at MSG is the angle of incidence of the lights, causing bright kicks (especially off of ice) that make everything else darker. The human eye does not notice this as much as a camera.

Because that's the way we like it. Just forfeit your road games, you don't have to come.

It's not his fault they're piss colored, it's all the dregs in and around newark and the pebble. As Barry Melrose once said, "Don't go outside if you have a wallet or anything else, because the area around the arena is just horrible."

Same can be said for MSG. Wasn't there a kid found murdered a block from MSG after visiting a nightclub a few days ago?

for people saying 'blah blah who cares about lghitign the stands'

well if you actually watch on tv the ICE RINK does look darker. If the ice was bright like in most arenas then i would be fine with it but the whole thing looks darker and that is probably cause the camera is in teh stands....

No, it can't be said. NYC is statistically one of the safest big cities in the USA. Can't say the same for Newark and I actually frequent the Ironbound section quite often, just for the food.

Do you have a link for this murder story? I googled and couldn't find anything.

Know the brand new lightbulbs that are extremely bright and almost give off a purple-ish hue? That's what you guys have in The Rock.

MSG still has those old school yellow-ish lights.

I can notice both. Don't think either is that big of a deal. The biggest difference is the brightness, not the color. The Rock is absurdly bright, all over the arena. The lighting in MSG is extremely dim around the arena and average brightness on the ice surface itself.

I expect MSG to be a little bit brighter and a little less yellow once they install new lights, though it will never be bright in the seating areas due to the Broadway effect.

Paranoia [ˌpærəˈnɔɪ.ə] (adjective: paranoid [ˈpærə.nɔɪd]) is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion.
The posters I quoted apparently have the fear that everyone is out to get them, that people say the ice is poorly lit because they hate the Rangers, instead of making the reasonable assumption that people in fact do not like the lighting.

Henrik has blue eyes, too much light will affect the way he plays the game.
