The lower portion of my forearm is exposed when I flex my wrist, and the cuff of the gloves lift away from my arm. It just so happens that both slashes occurred when my hands were in that vulnerable position. I could use an extra half inch extension on the 9044s, but I don't need to move up to the next size since it likely wouldn't fit me properly.
Know of any RBK 8K Pros in a size small out there for sale?

The e700 felt so incredibly light and may move up to that from my vintage ht2, but if safety is your primary concern, I still think the cascade or the new bauer suspension helmet maybe the answer
Hockey Giant used to have some but they're probably gone now. Oh if Reebok would just sell them to the public and charge $99 for them they'd make SO much money.

Got these off hockeymonkey's blowout discount back in september. Yeah, i'm cheap on protectives.. but people can't hit hard where i play.. so.. meh
Gloves: 2 pairs of Rbk 8K (1 was new for $55, the other one was used for $30 off ebay)
Sticks: Bauer Vapor APX 67 flex P92, Easton Mako 65 flex Hall ($170 & $150 on ebay)
Skates: 3 months old Vapor X2.0 (went awfully soft already.. have saved some money for top-end skates if I ever find anyone who could help me with fittings)

As for my sticks, they're whatever I like. Flex and brand won't make you shoot better. If you like range and you're a bit more defensive, then use a longer stick than you should. If you're offensive and can shoot, use a smaller stick than you should.
My goalie stick is just some Reebok black and white. All the sticks I found online with red in them to match my gear were too expensive for me (closing in to 200+ dollars with shipping)

Helmet: M11 with cage (As stated elsewhere, the boss who signs my paychecks asked me to get the best concussion-reducing helmet on the market because I work with the general public all day and his daughter treats a lot of head injuries in her therapist job. The jury's out, but you never know.
Shoulder pads: Warrior Bonafide
Elbow Pads: Bauer Supreme One60. The forearm wraps don't like staying around my forearms, though, so I may be replacing them soon.
Shin Guards: Bauer Supreme One60
Pants: Warrior Bonafide. The only ones that fit me at the store.
Skates: Bauer Supreme One80. These were the only skates I could find in 6EE at the time I bought them. They fit my short, yet wide feet just fine.
Gloves: Easton EQPro
Sticks: Easton ST, Camallieri pattern. It had a 110 flex to start, then we had to cut it down to size. I'm probably at a 115 or 120 now. It's insanely stiff for a guy who's 5'7".
Warrior Vandal, Gionta pattern. It had an 85 flex to start and is now probably at 95 since being cut down.
I'll try a stick with a lighter flex some time down the road.

I got them all on sale and new by looking around here and there. I'd rather break in my own gear.

I'm still breaking them in/getting the rest of the equipment. Being in a small town with the rink taken out in March, I think I'll have to play ball hockey (inside, of course) to break them in some.
It's hard right now and they still haven't broke in enough to curve up and cover my knees some when I drop down.
I have the CBC 4 on 4 play on tournament this weekend. I'll be player, so I'll be hopefully picking up another goalie stick (hopefully one that goes with the colour scheme), or another piece of equipment. Jock, chest protector, something.

When you aren't playing, trying storing them upside down and even put some weight on the boot. That should help with making a good S-curve.

Wouldn't those 3 changes revert it back to the Elite model? I'm not big on the lock thumb features of the pro. I'm using the pro now but I wish I went the elite instead and gotten 2 for the price of 1 glove.

It sits somewhere in between the Elite and the Pro. Source for Sports will take a model, like the 4 Roll Pro, and say to Bauer "we think we will sell a bunch of these if you change out this, this, and this from the Elite" which helps bring the gloves to a new price point and then they put their own model name on it, the Matrix.
If you look at the link I sent you and compare it to the 4 Roll Elite listed on the HockeyMonkey, you'll see that the "Matrix" has the ventilation on the backroll whereas the elite doesn't seem to. Also, you'll see that the Bauer logo is stitched into the cuff on the matrix and screen printed (or something else) onto the cuff of the Elite. The thumb on the matrix is the Free-Flex and the thumb on the Elite is the "Ergo-Thumb"
Same thing with my Bauer Vapor skates. I bought them from Source for Sports as well and they are classified as Bauer Vapor X: Velocity LOL. Sounds dumb, but it's really the X4.0 with a bunch of features from the X5.0, such as the inner liner, outsole, and the Lightspeed 2 holder.

Those are Sonic x9's?
From my past experience with DR pads, they offer solid protection but the glove often leaves something to be desired... Depending on what level you play you will get a stinger here and there.
What kind of mask is that? can't tell by the half photo but cheater cages are awesome!
Started out with really lightweight lower end equipment, but have upgraded gradually in an attempt to stay in the lineup as the injuries have been piling up. Turns out being old, boney, and playing every skate like its game 7 is a lethal combination
Used the 5k pants last night. They were a bit "squeaky" for some reason but they do seem to breathe a little more than the Tacklas. And obviously being a size larger they fit better now. Hopefully I'll shrink down by the end of the summer to go back to Tacks for winter league.
