Do NOT pick up a 7500 chesty. I had one that gave me stingers and bruises. If you are playing with guys that know how to shoot, you need something with better protection in the arms. One hard shot can litterally make you drop your stick and your arm go numb. I HATED my 7500. Have since moved to a Brown unit.
i disagree with this comment. the 7500 is one of the highest regarded chest protector in the market (after brown, passau, and p1). the 7500 is the worst of the 4 protection wise but its by far the most mobile of the 4.
vaughn chesty's are notorious for their lack of arm protections and the 7500 is no different. all you need to do is to rip the sewings apart and add an additional piece of foam where you think its necessary and the chesty is good to go. everything else about that chesty is gold.
Here's my Goaltending equipment. I've had it for a few months so it obviously has a few puck marks at this point. It doesn't clash to bad with my team's uniforms except for the team that wears the old Bruins Yellow 3rd jersey. I get the Hulkamania look
helmet- S19 with a reebok black cage
Shoulder pads- X60
Elbow pads: bauer one 50? ( green)
shinpads: same as elbow pads
girtle: one95 with my team shell
Skates: total ones
Sticks APX 77 flex PM9
Bauer One100 77 flex PM9
gloves: crap bauer ones i bought since i lost my old pair. new ones soon
Recently decided to convert to the CCM U+ CL line (played on a sponsored team by one of the big distributors so I get a break in price-and that helps)
Helmet-Cascade M11 with cage (had mouth surgery last year, lost 5 teeth)
Shoulder-Sherwood 9950
Elbows-CCM U+CL
Pants-CCM U+CL
Shins-CCM U+CL
Gloves-Bauer X40 (these are next to get upgraded)
Skates-Reebok 11K
Stick-Combat 52 CAL S 80 Flex Coffey Curve
Backup stick-Easton S19 85 Flex Roy Curve
Dolomites are great. I was a little less impressed with my Dynasty. But I'd really like to try a Widow or Diablo. And I wish their Sakic clone was a little more open...
Love the gloves though, I have two pairs of Warrior gloves (Koncept).
Skates: Bauer One100
Gloves: Bauer Vapor Pro
Stick: Bauer One95 (1 Backstrom 77, 1 Kronwall 87)
Pants: Bauer One90
Helmet: CCM V08 (not sure if that's the correct model #)
All of my protective stuff (elbows, shins, shoulders) is Vapor XXV I think, but I desperately need new elbows because mine are barely holding together.
Bauer 4500 helmet w/ cage
Warrior Bully shoulders, elbows, and pants
Warrior Tempo gloves
Bauer Nexus 400 Shins
Bauer Vapor x2 or something skates
Warrior Esquire stick Kopitar blade
All in all I like my equipment. It serves me well. At this point, I'm willing to try anything that Warrior comes out with that isn't rediculously priced. I've been really impressed with everything I've purchased from them.
Kinda looking for a new helmet and maybe a visor. I'm tired of the cage. I've always worn a Bauer bucket but I'm open to a change. Maybe when Warrior comes out with a little bit cheaper of a lid I'll try it out. But for now, I've been looking at the Bauer 5100 and the Easton E400. Everyone seems to like the Easton helmets. I dunno. Anybody know anything about the two?

The 5100 is deeper than the E400, give them a try and get the one that fits better.
Switched sticks... again. This time I went to the Warrior Esquire, their entry stick. It's a Burrows pattern, 70 flex intermediate length. I love the intermediates since I don't have to cut them down at all for my height. I switched to a right-hand stick (being left-hand dominant) and wanted to go with something inexpensive so I could have one stick for the ice and one for the basement practice area. I would have gone for a Bauer, CCM, or Reebok since their entry level sticks are cheaper but couldn't find a flat enough curve for what I want. I've already noticed an increase in speed when handling the puck and more accurate passes and shots by switching to a right-hand stick.

Yeah, it's tough to find places that actually sell hockey equipment on a regular basis in south Florida. I have to order all my stuff. But if the 5100 is deeper i mite just go with that one....I got an egg head lol

If you have a big melon I would go with the 5100. I have the E400 and I like it, but it is a little thinner than most helmets. I think many people like the Easton helmets b/c most of them are very low profile. That is why I liked the S9 I had before and the E400 I have now.

Is the E400 light? I like that it's low profile, which leads me to believe that it's lighter than most helmets. A lot of these new helmets look pretty bulky and heavy.
Helmet: Bauer 7500 with Bauer pro cut visor
Gloves: Eagle PPF X705 13"
Stick: Easton S19 grip 100 flex Parise
Elbow: Bauer Supreme TotalOne(buy them now!)
Shin: Old school Jofa's
Pants: Eagle x72
Skates: Bauer Supreme 8090 9E
I recently bought the pants, gloves, stick, and elbow pads. I can't bring myself to part with my 8090's, best skate I've owned in 20 years of competitive and rec hockey!
I'm replacing my gear this off season, apart from my X:60 skates, they've still got another seasons juice in them.
Sticks - X:60s, P02 curve, 102 flex.
Gloves - Easton EQ50, 14s
Legs - X:60, 17"
Elbows - Cooper Techniflex, never getting rid of these babies!
Helmet - Reebok 7k, Oakley straight cut visor.
Gonna get new shorts & shoulders, still undecided what though.
My 6 month old Easton EQ50 Elite gloves are now relegated to backup duty.
New Winwell ProStock is oh, so much better ... more protection, and snug comfortable fit. Used them in a few pickup games, and I love the way I don't even notice them. I used to have to fidget with my Eastons a lot to be comfortable.

Yes the E400 is pretty light, but I don't think it is comparable to say the E700 that is really light.
