I think Zach stopped signing outside right when he signed on with Steiner. Marty doesn't really either for that reason I presume. I think they could catch some grief from them.

You're right. I think he'll sign with Carolina actually!

I've never went back in the alley there at Prudential Center. I don't really do autographs or go out of my way to get them anymore. Do they always walk out the door? Can't they leave through the bridge that goes from the building to parking garage if they want? Or if it's a loss, and they don't feel happy to sign autographs? I don't really know how it works back there. I've only walked by there when walking on my way into the building before, and directly after games.

I usually watch the alley from the parking garage after games to let the traffic clear out. The visiting team bus is parked behind the bridge, and they usually board the bus rather quickly. The Devils usually take longer to exit. They do have an exit away from the fans that they can use. Some of them will check the crowd and come out to sign autographs more than others. I have seen Clarkson do so on a couple of occasions. You can see the others leave through a door closer to their cars that are parked in the alley.

Great read. Like someone said before, he's the most misunderstood player in the NHL. If they listen to a few of his teammates and coaches they'll realize how much he cares.

Kovy was my favorite non Devil before he got traded here, that was one of the happiest days for me of a Devils fan.

Would love to see him hoist the cup. - Only 7 to go

This still amazes me. How the hell did they get this far? I absolutely did not expect this. What a great season it's been.

Great read. Seems to me that Lou indeed did want him on the team after all

To think of it, I cannot remember when was the last time that Lou went hard for a player (trade or UFA) that wasn't a really good guy (not counting players that were throw-ins, that he had to take). Even old Winky was truly likable dude. Zid comes to mind - he's obviously not a pr### he seemed to be while in Minny. Foster seems great too, from what I've seen from him off the ice.

We haven't gotten anywhere yet. Still lots of games to be played.

Do you ever wish the Devils played like their namesake?

Well, not the Jersey Devil...but like, when you think of the word 'devil' you think of things like...'harsh' or 'rough' or 'devious' or 'hellacious'.

I guess a similar question would be:

Do you wish they played more like our division rivals...

More crease time

More screening

And whatever this is

I just can't picture Parise, Elias, Zubrus or Zajac doing any of these.

Maybe
Clarkson.

*This is my first thread, spare me. I've just always wondered this.

Nope. Always leads to bad things. I don't wanna be the Flyers. Because they are worthless if the other team is smart and doesn't take the bait.

Yes and no.

More gritty style of play and crashing the crease? Sign me up.

Goonery and retaliation? Hell no. We`re not the Flyers.

A team like the Flyers has to sell their game to the other team as well as themselves.

What do you do when the other team wants no part of your goonery and post-whistle antics? You lose in five games.

Dude come on we had SCOTT STEVENS the guy had a heart of a warrior and eyes of the Devil lmao the dude ended peoples careers with his hits and best part was they were all clean. I would rather have a guy do all his work in between whistles than after.

Yeah, but I'm talking about more than just that.

I'm talking about watery ice and penalty boxes that don't open.

40 second hand passes and gigantic goalie pads.

I'm talking about the edge of glory.
