Hoping the Royals can grab a spot in the playoffs with their final game tonight vs Portland, would be great for the fans and for myself to take a final glance at the players.

I don't trust Portland's goaltending. Carruth has been the weak link of that team for 2 yrs. Having the most GF in the league hides a lot of their defensive and goaltending flaws.

OilKings are my pick out of the Dub. They are solid all around and streaking at the right time.

My homer pick would be the Ams, but I think the lack of forward depth will catch up with them. The 1st line is one of the best in the CHL, but after that, goals are few and far between. Lowest GA allowed so the D and goaltending have been solid, but if they face a team with 3 lines that can score it'll be tough in a 7 game series.

After reading the post above you, I was just going to say the exact same thing.

The Oil Kings have a really good shot at the Ed Chynoweth Cup, but I'll go with another team.

Host: Shawinigan
QMJHL: Saint John (will anyone go with any other team from the Q?)
OHL: Niagara
WHL: Kamloops

Some will say the Chicoutimi Sags, or even Shawinigan will win, but they can't score like SJ, and they don't have the experience, which is invaluable also they don't have the same star power of leadership.

My picks!

Host: Shawinigan
QMJHL: Saint John (beats Blainville-Boisbriand 4-1)
OHL: London (beats Niagra 4-3)
WHL: Tri City (beats Edmonton 4-2)

Saint John beats Tri City to win the Memorial Cup.

I 'm not entirely sure how the Q playoffs work so if that final series is impossible that's why.

really excited for the Portland V Kelowna series. The regular season games between these two teams were excellent and last season was a thrilling series. Lots of high end talent in this series eligible this year and next.

I'm not the biggest fan of carruth but he had a suspect regular season last year and played extremely well in the playoffs.

Big game in Seattle tonight between the Silvertips and T-Birds. Currently tied for 8th and final playoff spot. Everett have one game left, tonight...while Seattle plays tonight against Everett, then tomorrow against Seattle.

Really hoping Seattle can pull out the win tonight and get in.

He was extremely cold against Victoria in the last two games of the season. Hamilton outplayed him by a mile.

I think I will make a CHL Playoff List of all the players on the teams including stats and stuff, I'm on spring break and have nothing better to do.

You're fine. The Q functions like the NHL except there is no conference so it's 1 to 16. It's impossible for SJ to face Blainville-Boisbriand before the finals since it's the first seed and the third seed.

I think Saint John will face Shawinigan in the finals however. Shawinigan will be tough to beat once they get Gormley back.

If Seattle is playing Seattle tomorrow I think Seattle will win. Heck, they might even get 3 points out of it.

Fired up for the playoffs!

Guelph got a decent opponent as we have actually played fairly decent against Plymouth this season. And even if we lose, it's all good because by making the playoffs that exceeded my season expectations!

Go Storm Go!

Big win for Everett, amazing turnaround in the season since Murray came back from his injury.

WHL's East Matchups:

1. Edmonton vs. 8 Kootenay
2. Moose Jaw vs. 7 Regina
3. Calgary vs. 6. Brandon
4. Medicine Hat vs. 5. Saskatoon

Predictions:
Edmonton in 6
Moose Jaw in 6
Calgary in 7
Won't predict the final one, considering my position.

This is what I am rooting for, would mean 5 Habs prospects in the Mem Cup.

Am I the only one amazed by the mileage being randomly saved by how the teams stack up? Very strange.

I'll go

QMJHL: Saint John
OHL: Niagara
WHL: Edmonton

Not sure for the WHL. Portland is hotter right now but overall I'm liking Edmonton better.

Edmonton in 5
- Edmonton has too much depth, although Lieuwen alone could make things tough for the Oil Kings.
Moose Jaw in 7
- Moose Jaw will eventually win out because of size but Regina's speed wil give them a run.
Brandon in 6
- Neither team has a lot of depth and I like Brandon's top end guys more than Calgary's. Tough draw for Calgary.
Medicine Hat in 7
- This one could really go either way. Its going to depend on who's goaltender plays better.

WHL:
Eastern Confrence:
(1) Edmonton vs (8) Kootneay
- Edmonton in 5, the depth on Edmonton is going to be hard to stop, Lieuwen would have to stand on his head for Kootneay to have a fighting chance.

(2) Moose Jaw vs (7) Regina
- Moose Jaw In 6, haven't seen either team play, but if Rielly is back, would be a huge boost for the Warriors cup run.

(3) Calgary vs (6) Brandon
- Brandon in 7, I think Sundher is going to step up and so is the rest of Brandon, Pulock and Roy are going to be absolute rocks on the blueline.

(4) Medicine Hat vs (5) Saskatoon
- Medicine in 6, I like the depth on Saskatoon, the loss of Thrower is huge, Etem and Shinkaruk are going to light the lamp on Makarov.

Western Confrence
(1) Tri City vs (8) Everett
- Tri-City in 4, Kent Simpson won't be able to hold up Holland, Shimmmin (spelling) and Hudgesman.

(2) Kamloops vs (7) Victoria
- Kamloops in 6, Victoria is confident right now, they beat Portland twice, Kamloops is a speedy team, and Rintoul can't carry the defense for the Royals to win the series.

(3) Portland vs (6) Kelowna
- Portland in 5, Portland just got off of a 8-2 win vs a eager Seattle team, Kelowna is streaky and Portland is going to go through the young Kelowna defense.

(4) Vancouver vs (5) Spokane
- Vancouver in 7, A really good series, could be the best out of the 8. The powerhouses of Gallagher, Tvrdon, Musil and the now riser in the draft Kulak, I think Vancouver is going to win a thriller of a series.
